Sweat.
I hate sweat.
F

unny being an athlete isn't it? Always having sweat on your skin.

This was different though.
This was fear sweat.
The fear I felt being hooked up to all these machines.

"Your heart rate is quite high."

I closed my eyes after hearing Ego's voice. I knew that.
Wasn't it obvious.

I breathed in and out slowly and eventually my heart rate was at its usual.

This was the drill everyday and even though nothing had hurt, it was terrifying. Maybe I feel unsafe with these people? It's possible.

As soon as it was over I left. They watched my leave without any protest meaning it was done for today.

I stepped into the shower, the water engulfing my body. Why is sweat so disgusting to me yet the warm water from the shower is what keeps me clean? It's so odd.

I stepped out of the shower and dressed myself, heading to the training areas. I placed a soccer ball on the floor and firmly kicked it from an angle. It hurled through the air and eventually landed in the net across from me on the pitch.

"Why's your hair wet?"

I jumped at the voice of my friend. I turned to him with a hand on my head. "Because I had a shower...?"

"You have showers in the morning, it's one pm." He creased his eyebrows.

I despise the fact he knows so much about me to know when something was up. "I felt like it."

He gave me a look as if to say that's bullshit.

But of course. He was right.

"What's up?" He asked with a hand on my shoulder.

"I miss my dad..." I whispered. I didn't even know that I missed my father and yet when he asked I let out my true feelings.

"He's still stationed abroad isn't he?" Reos eyes softened at my down expression.

"Yeah, he's supposed to come home soon. I'm here though and I don't want to leave." Of course I didn't. I may not be becoming famous like he is but here I was away from my mother. Away from the talks of the people. Away from the cramp bedroom I'm destined to rot in.

"I'll try and sort something out. Don't get your hopes up though, my father doesn't approve of me doing this." He sat me on a bench and planted down next to me.

"No one likes your dad."
"Your mom does."

I turned to him with a vein that looked like it was about to pop. "That because my mother is a cheating witch." I cooled down from my temper quickly and continued to speak. "Anyways... How's your experience here?"

"There's this dumbass on my team, Zantetsu, I can't stand the guy but he's a good player so I have to."

"What scale of dumb? You or me on the scale."

"Wayyy lower than you." He exaggerated. His tone sounded so tired... as if he hadn't been sleeping.

"Didn't know that was possible." I laughed. I wasn't stupid but I wouldn't say I'm a genius like the Billionaire beside me.

"You act as if you have no brain."
"With how many times I've hit my head I bet it's shrunk."

He put a hand on my head and made my head shake. "Nope. I bet if your brain shrunk I'd hear it moving."

I laughed at his stupid remark, of course he was smart enough to know that despite how big or small my brain was it wouldn't make any noise nor move.

"Will you stay with me tonight?" I asked out of nowhere, my eyes pleading for him to say yes.

Of course, crumbling immediately, he agreed. "Where do you even sleep?"

"In my room."
"You get your own room?"
"Yes because all men are bad."

His jaw dropped before he shut his mouth with a slightly offended look. "So I'm bad?"

"Yes, always trying to get into my pants." I joked again.

"If anything it's the other way round." He joked back.

"I don't wanna have a court case on me for flirting with a minor so don't say that again." I crossed my arms over one another to make an x.

"Why do you always say that?"
"I don't know It's fun."

Ending the conversation there I just took him to my room. Once there I sat him down on my bed and sat beside him.

"Your bed is soft..."
"Do you not have beds, this isn't really high quality."

"We sleep on futons." He just stared at me, like a lifeless doll.

"What?! Can't be good for your back. Lay down!" I pushed him down onto the bed. This led to me being on all fours ontop of him but I got off quickly. I pulled the blankets over him and saluted.
"Sleep soldier, you'll need it."

"What are you going to do while I sleep?"
"I don't know."

He just grabbed my hand and pulled me on the bed with him. "Then stay here."

"Alright...?" I just cuddled him tightly, his head on my chest while I played with his hair.

"I'll wake you up when it's time for dinner." I spoke to him and he just let out a grunt and went to sleep.

He's so cute. He's almost like a dog... I love dogs...

I kissed his forehead before pressing my cheek to the top of hie head. I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep aswell.

"Reooo, where were you..." Nagi draped himself over the purple haired males back, wanting to be carried to dinner.

"I was sleeping." He replied as he cooked his arms under Nagi's legs and piggybacking him towards the cafeteria.

"I didn't see you." The teenage boy yawned, somehow still tired after his nap.

Reo just chuckled. "C'mon Nagi, you were asleep how were you supposed to see me?"

"Mhm, I guess you're right."
