The morning light filters softly through the curtains of a grand bedroom in Dee's mansion. The room is adorned with luxurious decor, reflecting the opulence of the estate. Zaviya and Alastair are tangled in the king-sized bed, their bodies close, Zaviya's head nestled comfortably on Alastair's chest.
Zaviya's eyes flutter open, and she slowly becomes aware of the intimate position. Alastair's arm is wrapped securely around her, her hand resting on Zaviya's waist. The warmth of the moment contrasts sharply with Zaviya's inner turmoil.
Zaviya: (softly, to herself)
So this is what it's like, waking up being next to the enemy as her wife. She closes her eyes, lost in thought, remembering the details of their wedding day.
Zaviya: (talking in her mind) I can't believe it's real. Yesterday felt like a dream—our wedding, the vows we made, the kiss we shared. Every detail was meticulously crafted to fool everyone, but it felt so... surreal. The way we danced, the way everyone cheered, it was all for show. We had to put on the perfect performance to protect our businesses and secure our inheritance.
Zaviya's gaze drifts over Alastair, tracing her features with admiration. She begins with Alastair's perfectly shaped eyebrows, moving to her chinky eyes, her prominent nose, and finally her soft, red lips.
Zaviya: (whispering to herself) It’s like God took his time perfecting every detail of her face. She’s truly stunning. I wonder how long we can keep up this charade. How long can we act like we're in love without actually falling for each other? And how long until our parents figure out what we’re really up to?
Zaviya's thoughts are interrupted as Alastair stirs and opens her eyes. She catches Zaviya’s gaze, smiling playfully.
Alastair: (sleepily) What are you doing, staring at me like that? Fantasizing about me in your sleep?
Zaviya: Oh, don’t be full of yourself. I was just admiring the masterpiece. But you’re ruining the moment.
Zaviya blushes and playfully slaps Alastair’s cheek. She’s about to do it again when Alastair catches her hands, pinning them to the bed. Alastair, now fully awake, smiles down at her with a mischievous glint in her eyes.
Zaviya: (trying to sound annoyed) Hey! What’s with the sudden attack?
Alastair’s playful smile softens into something more tender. Zaviya's mouth goes silent as she meets Alastair’s gaze, her cheeks flushing. Alastair gives her a quick, soft peck on the lips. Zaviya's face turns even redder and she looks away shyly.
Zaviya: (embarrassed) You— You’re so infuriating.
Alastair: (teasing) And you’re too easy to tease.
Zaviya pinches Alastair’s side, making her jolt in surprise. Alastair retaliates by tickling Zaviya, causing her to squirm with laughter.
Zaviya: (giggling) Stop! That tickles!
The door suddenly bursts open. Nee and Melanie, stand in shock, their eyes widening at the sight of their daughters in such an intimate position.
Nee: (embarrassed, flustered) Oh my gosh! We didn’t realize you were... uh, busy.
Melanie: (teasing) We’ll just wait for you downstairs. Try not to be too loud, okay? Save some energy for the rest of the day.
