Kamecia yawned softly as her eyes fluttered, her eyes coming in contact with the television first. Looking to her left, she glanced over at Siyani who was laying sound asleep while sucking on her pacifier. Hearing loud snores from the right side of the room, her vision shifted to Amendo who was laying in the let out chair that was directly onside of her bed.
The blanket that the hospital provided was covering his whole body, only his head visible as it rested against the white pillow. Unlike before, his mouth was now closed, his snores coming to an halt as his breathing evened out.
Kamecia smiled softly, thankful for him to even be there because in reality he didn't have to be there, but he was. Instead of going home at night for the past two weeks, he'd been staying the night at the hospital with her and Siyani.
Making sure the both of them were good. She'd truly appreciated it being that she most definitely needed someone through this hard time. She knew once she had gotten her mental health better, and back on track, she would repay him for it all.
Snapping out of her thoughts, she stepped out of the bed carefully, the beeping from the machine almost immediately bringing Amendo up out of his slumber as his attention went onto her. Before either one of them could speak, Kamecia's nurse was making her way into the room to stop the beeping.
"Im sorry. Just had to come stop it before it woke the princess up," Nurse Ashley apologized making Kamecia chuckle softly, waving her off.
"You're fine. I was just going to the bathroom," Kamecia spoke lowly, her voice a bit rough due to her just waking up.
"Oh okay. Do you need anything, Ms.Bell? And also, you'll be able to go home later in the day. They're down stairs getting your discharge papers ready, but we have to run one more test on the little one so that we know forsure everything is just fine!" Nurse Ashley exclaimed making Kamecia nod.
The two exchanged a couple of more words before Nurse Ashley had left. Kamecia made her way towards the restroom as fast as she could before she pulled down the pamper that they had provided for her to wear, then sitting down on the toilet. After she had did her business, she stood up from the toilet before flushing then making her way over towards the sink to wash her hands.
After she washed her hands, she dried them before making her way back out into the room to retrieve her toothbrush. Amendo, who was now seated up straight in the chair, had his eyes closed with his propped up on his hand.
Kamecia moved quietly, not knowing if he was asleep or not. Grabbing her things, she made her way back into the bathroom to brush her teeth, and wash her face. After, she took a long look at herself in the mirror. Her lip curled up into a pout at the bruise right above her right eyebrow.
Her lip was also busted, but it was almost healed so you really couldn't tell unless someone was either staring at her to long or if she said something about it.
A knock on the bathroom door brung her out of her thoughts. Fixing her bonnet on her head, she gathered her things before opening the bathroom door coming face to face with Amendo.
"Im sorry. I was just getting myself together" Kamecia apologized, feeling like she was in the bathroom to long.
"You good. Good morning," He replied, walking around her with his toothbrush and a face rag in hand.
"Good Morning," She responded before emerging from the bathroom to go check on Mariah. Placing her things back into her bag, Kamecia rubbed some hand sanitizer on her hands before making her way over to Siyani.
