you run through the forest mixed with red and orange, adrenaline slowly diminishing as you feel the cold temperature pricking your skin. you hide behind a thick, old tree, catching your breath as you perk your ears up for any unusual sound.

your hands are trembling.

you only realize now that you are wearing clothes that aren't appropriate for this kind of weather.

with the adrenaline off, you can feel your whole body screaming in exhaustion and from the cold. begging to rest and covered in a heating blanket.

you peek your head around the tree, wanting to see if there are any traces of the killer's presence around, though you instantly regretted it once you caught sight the mutilated bodies of your classmates.

you immediately duck behind the tree again, hands covering your mouth as you heave and gag. nothing came out as you long emptied your contents awhile ago. you remember the comfort of your friend's hand behind your back as you vomit, wanting to feel it once again.

you suck in a breath.

you have to stay strong.

escape from here, y/n..!

as you stand up, a gust of cold wind pricks your skin and you tremble under the merciless temperature.

you tremble again, beginning to walk as you rub your hands together, exhaling out a breath to increase the warmth.

you stop in your tracks.

maybe you shouldn't be out in the open like this--

your whole body stiffens as your back pressed against a torso, with your whole body covered in a thick coat and two large hands clasping your own.

and his cheek resting on top of your head as he stares down at you.

"better?"
