Prompt: First time parents get overwhelmed and admit they need some help

A/N This one is more angsty than my other ones so it's a bit different but as I was writing it came so easily and naturally and I was so motivated to get this one up so I really hope you enjoy!
Tw: slight mention of miscarriage,no details or anything major it's maybe one or two sentences, but wanted to let you know. Theme of postpartum depression/anxiety throughout !!!!!PLEASE do not read if you are sensitive to these kinds of topics!!!!!

"Please stop, please stop crying, Benny please stop baby" she whispered into his ear. The little boys cries echo through the house as his mother rocked him in his arms.

She'd been at this for so long and was reaching her breaking point. Tears were rolling down her face as she practically begged her two month old to stop screaming.

"Benny please, mama can't anymore please stop you're okay" she was so overwhelmed, the noise of her baby making her very stressed. She was trying to let Winter sleep on but she needed him to take over before she did something silly and regret it.

She walked into their shared room, they had gotten Benny into his own crib in his own room with a camera on him, but most night especially when he got like this he slept in a smaller crib in his parents room. Winter woke up immediately hearing the cries getting closer. He took one look at his son and partner and knew something was very wrong.

"Please, please take him I can't do it anymore Winter I can't listen to him please do something to make it stop." He jumped up and took Benny from Autumn, she sat down at the edge of the bed and tried to calm down.

"Hey buddy" he whispered to his baby. "What are you doing to your mama, shhh shhh your okay papas got you." Within a few minutes Benny settled and was in between cooing and sleeping in his father's arms. "Ill get him to sleep and then we can talk okay my love" she didn't reply but he could still here her rapid breathing.

Once Benjamin had gone back to sleep in his crib, Winter went to sit with Autumn. Neither of them spoke and she was still having a hard time trying to breathe again. He put their knees together so she knew he was there but trying not to overwhelm her.

"I can't do this Winter, I'm a terrible mother" he was so shocked at her saying this kind of thing. He knew she was cautious of their baby but she had never admitted something like that before. "My love, that is not true at all you're the best mother, Benjamin is so lucky to have you."

She shook her head "I can't make him stop crying, every time I hold him he cries and then I give him to you and he stops. I'm so stressed out Winter, why won't he just stop crying" her head was still in her hands she couldn't dare look at Winter, she was so embarrassed. They both worked with children and she couldn't even make her own one settle.

"Autumn can I hold you?" She nodded and he wrapped his arm around her "my sweet he can sense that your stressed, thats maybe why he's upset, he doesn't want to settle without knowing his mama is okay" she took it the wrong way and jumped up away from him.

"So you agree that it's my fault, you agree that I can't settle my own baby" she was shaking and he went to her to give her comfort. "No my love that's not what I'm saying it all, he just wants to know that you're okay that's all, and so do I" he pulled her in close to his chest stroking her back.

"Autumn you're okay, you're safe, no one is mad at you it's okay you just got overwhelmed and that's completely normal for that to happen your only learning the ropes" she listened to his heart beat and steadied out her breathing.

"You just seem so put together the whole time and I've done nothing but freak out over him since he was born, we wanted him so bad, we tried so hard to get him and I feel like I'm doing nothing right." He understood completely why she was feeling like this, after losing a baby and finding it hard to fall pregnant again, once they found out about Benny, Autumn was panicking about every little thing.
