"Rayne, a letter was placed outside our room and had your name in it. You can find it on your table." I nodded at Max as an acknowledgment of his statement and immediately made my way to my table to check the letter.

The writing on the paper is familiar, which made me clench it, resulting in destroying the paper. "What does it say? "Is it bad?" Max was curious as he peeked behind me.

"Not really. I'm going to go prepare for my mission." I excused myself and got into the shower. I'll go and see [your name] before I go. Even though we've already spent time with each other, I can't help but see her again.

I let the cold water run through my body and couldn't stop thinking of her smiles. I hope she stays like that. A small smile crept on my lips as I turned off the water and left the bathroom once I finished wearing my clothes.

I bid goodbye to Max and made my way to her room when I stopped in front of the kitchen room and remembered our moment. Remembering her cuteness that day. "Could you be Rayne? [your name]'s friends?" My thoughts were disrupted when her roommate was in front of me. I nodded as a response, and she smiled.

"She's been here with me for awhile, but she told me that she needed to check on something and went off by herself." She told me. I immediately excused myself and went to look for her. Where could she be going at times like this?

"Hello, anyone in there?" A not-so-loud voice erupted near where I was standing, and this way leads to the back of the shared kitchen. What is she doing in here anyway?

"What are you doing here in the dark?" I asked, which obviously scares her, as my hold on her tightened out of worry. I received a smack in the arm, and I immediately scanned the area.

"What are you doing, scaring me like that?" She asked back, ignoring the changes in my voice.

"I came to see you before I went off and heard your voice from here. Now answer my question." I told her seriously. My hand was placed on her back, guiding her inside the school. "I saw some figure outside watching me and Sol from the kitchen." My anger jolted within me upon hearing her response as she offered me small smiles. A figure? Who could it be this time?

"Don't go off alone. I'll be back as soon as possible." I instructed her, to which she responded with a nod as she slowly walked towards me, wrapping her fragile arms around me. I smiled, and my heart is going crazy, but my thoughts still linger on what she saw. I hugged her tighter than I could. I really need to finish this and go back to her immediately.

"Take care, Rayne. Get back soon."

"Do you know that this is not a qualified mission to require my presence from the Headmaster?" I stated that irritation was visible in my voice as I found myself seated on a chair inside the house that belongs to the people who have put me in a di...

"Do you know that this is not a qualified mission to require my presence from the Headmaster?" I stated that irritation was visible in my voice as I found myself seated on a chair inside the house that belongs to the people who have put me in a difficult situation. Silence is overwhelming, for I'm in such a bad mood at the moment.

"Rayne, you have a better future from the biblia. Didn't you think about that? Finn too." My aunt proposed as she tried to hold my hand, which I slapped away.

"Do you think this is the easy way? To use me as your privilege over the poverty you're experiencing right now? No. I will marry the person I want to be with. Return the money to the Biblia." I said it in a dismissive voice. I got up and made my way to the door to leave this house that I left with Finn a long time ago.

"You will regret this, Rayne." Her voice was low, but enough to leave a threat hanging in the air. "Just try harming anyone around me, and I assure you that I won't go easy." I threatened back and slammed the door hard as soon as I settled my feet outside.

A sigh escaped my lips, scanning the almost dark surroundings. I better get going so I can go back to Easton in the morning. I journeyed back to my normal pace to avoid depleting my mana and energy just in case an attack happened.

It's been a couple of hours, and now the sun is peeking, which made me smile. I looked at the trail I'm taking and saw that it's almost there. "I will get to see her."

The happiness that was brimming within me as I reached the stairs that led inside the academy instantly melted away when the tremendous energy of black magic emerged. "[Your name]" Her name left my lips in gasps as I surged through the crowd of students leading me to the open field. Heavy smoke was engulfing the whole area, which made me cover my nose as the others started coughing from inhaling it.

Once the smoke cleared, I instantly roamed my eyes, looking for her figure and seeing her standing there unflinching. I made my way near her to descry that she's out of herself but gripping her wand.

"[your name]" I called her, but she didn't respond and was just looking directly at the person who was standing there, grinning and amused by the panorama. Anger welled up against me as I cast my magic towards the person.

He's not one of the faculties, but why does he wear the teacher's uniform? He swiftly dodged all of the attacks I offered him, which he returned with a nasty grin.

"She's hilariously strong. No wonder." He uttered as he slowly made his way near us. I immediately covered myself in front of [your name]. "No, Rayne. I don't have to do anything to have her come to me. She will come looking for her. I assure you of that. After all, she belongs to her." He said, grinning mischievously with the scheme he had in hand.

"Who are you?" I questioned trying to be calm in the situation because the students would be alarmed and harmed. The possibilities of that happening are not small, and the possibility of [your name] blaming herself is great if that happens.

"Me? Oh, ignore me. I'm not important, and besides, I'm just a messenger." He laughed mindlessly as he stared at his dazed self.

"What do you want?" I gritted my teeth as I uttered the question. "We want [your name] to be her vessel." The person was unable to finish his words when she was blasted by [your name], which is smirking at the sight she created.

"So damn loud." She uttered it under her breath as she looked at me, which made me back off. I swallowed a lump to see how different this person in front of me was. She's so cold and emits danger.

"Is something wrong?"
