Chapter 6

skylar's pov

"I'm telling you, he's acting fishy." Joshua tells me with a serious tone. I chuckle, thinking it seemed stupid. Kenji doesn't act fishy or weird, he claims it doesn't suit him at all.

"That's crazy and stupid at the same time. Kenji says he never acts fishy 'cause it doesn't match his personality." I reply as I cross my arms and lean against the wall. Joshua just rolls his eyes and grabs me by the shoulders.

"You need to believe me, Skylar. Ever since he's even seen Vester, he's been acting weird and all flustered around him. It's suspicious behaviour!" he says as he shakes my shoulders, making me grunt a bit.

"Well, seriously, I really don't believe you. Not one bit." I respond as I take his hands off of my shoulders. He clicks his tongue before spinning me around, showing me towards Kenji.

My eyebrows furrow as I see Kenji's face all red just by talking to Vester. I raise an eyebrow as I start to hear him stutter and mess his words up a bit. That's... weird. "Okay wait... that's actually fishy." I mumble to Joshua who scoffs and rolls his eyes.

"Oh yeah, I totally didn't say that the first time we saw each other." Joshua sarcastically says as he rolls his eyes once more. I also roll my eyes as I look back at him.

"But what's the reason to why he's acting like that? Do you think you know?" I ask him, my tone full of curiousity and confusion. He shrugs a little before letting out an audible sigh.

"I think so... it's just a theory though." Joshua tells me as he crosses his arms over his chest. I raise an eyebrow as I wait for him to respond. "I think he still likes Vester."

I gasp a little hearing him. Now that was a theory. I scoff a little before shaking my head in disbelief. "No way. He's dating Isabel!"

"Shh! Keep your voice down!" Joshua whisper-yells at me as he covers my mouth. "Plus, it could happen. Maybe he's only dating Isabel to move on, you know?"

"It's not possible. Hell no." I tell him, my tone a little softer than last time. He clicks his tongue as he crosses his arms.

"Fine. Believe what you want to believe, but I'm telling you, I might be right." Joshua tells me with the most serious expression ever. I sigh before shrugging my shoulders.

Well, there could be a chance, but I don't believe it at all. He's dating Isabel because he likes Isabel. If that's not true, I don't know what is anymore. Based on what I've seen, there might be a true chance that he still likes Vester... but the question is, does he really?
