CHAPTER SEVEN

KATHERINE

This meeting is huge. I saw Leah sitting next to a senior who had glared at me. The resemblance was remarkable. They had the same eyes and haughty expression, father and daughter.
" Come on!" Dominic said. He took the seat at the head with Jared on his right.
" hey Katherine !" Jared said looking at me with respect .
Lara was sitting on Dominic 's other side.
"Dominic bring around your chair so Katherine can sit" she told him.
That's how I ended up squashed next to Dominic .
The meeting started but I wasn't really paying attention to the shouting match. I was too aware of Dominic sitting next to me. I tried not to move too much, my hand touching his and this electricity was making me dizzy. It was getting worst this feeling.
He seem oblivious to my unease. He was listening intently to what his members were saying. I started when someone called my name.
" I don't think we can trust Katherine Radcliff!" said Leah father. Lara stood up making me lean into Dominic.
" she saved my life without her I wouldn't be standing here!"
She said smiling at me.
"Yes yes she saved your precious life but how are we suppose to know it wasn't planned. That she made those wolves attack, save Lara and gain our trust!" He said
Adam, Dominic dad stood up, " Yes that would be a good plan Mr.Rogers but alittle too easy, we aren't that foolish to let that happen to us again. We have suffered enough for that. Katherine seems to be innocent here."
"Yes,but..." Rogers started to say but Adam interrupted him.
"Everyone here would agree that I am better judge of character that you, won't you agree Rogers"
Lee Rogers flushed but stilled continued, "what about her other crime?"
Other crime? What is this idiot talking about now.
"What crime?"Dominic asked confused.
"Well she attacked my daughter, Leah and her hand is damaged"
Mr Rogers pointed to his daughter .
I can't believe this! They have got to be kidding me! Leah sat there looking at me smugly . I'll show you little witch.
I got up with some difficulty because Dominic was holding onto the shirt trying to pull me down, I glared at him and he instantly let go.
" I'm sorry,but how can you blame me for her injuring her hand after all she was stupid enough to punch the lockers, she should be charge for damaging the school property."
Oww Dominic pulled me down and I landed on his leg, his land on my arm. Urgh just great. I had to land on his leg.
" your eyes are blue!" He whispered .
Crap!
"You're imagining things!" I whispered back.
He stared at me, those eyebrows arched. I looked down almost forgetting I was still on his leg, almost!
"We need to figure out who they are and why they were here" Dominic said.
The members started talking amongst themselves.
"Maybe they were spying." I told Dominic.
"What do you mean?"
"Well what if they are members of the pack that have been attacking and killing the other packs." I replied.
I saw his eyes widen, then narrowed as he looked at me suspiciously.
" How did you know about that pack?"he asked looking at me in the eyes.
Ahhhh Damn I forgot he's sharp! Think of an excuse K.
"I heard Lara and Jared talking about it." I replied.
He nodded but his eyes remained narrowed.
"Yes, I was thinking the same thing!"he said
" maybe they were trying to see....."
"The defenses!" We finished together.
He smiled at me and for the first time I saw a glimpse of his true smile. His face lit up and his eyes sparkled, he had really nice teeth. I just stared at him like an idiot.
" What do you think?" He asked.
"Um I'm sorry, what?" I asked blushing.
"What were you thinking about?" He asked.
I answered without thinking!
" your smile, its.......!" I stop blood rush to my cheeks and I looked away. He became still, I peeked at him, his widen and his ears were red. Cute!
We both jump when Lara said," hey Dom are you going to end the meeting?"
"Um yea tell them it's over" he said his voice shaken.
Lara stared at him, "you ok?"
"Yes lara, now go!" He snap
" ok you have to take Katherine back home! Oh by the way that seat looks really comfortable eh Katherine !" She laugh and ran off.
I leap off his leg.
"Um so you ready?" I asked looking any where but at him.
"Yea let's go" he said not waiting to see if I was following, what was wrong with him now.
I ran after him. The drive to the house was silent. Dominic stared straight ahead gripping the wheel with more force than needed. Did it tried to make him laugh? Why is trying to kill it?
I jumped out as soon as we reached home then suddenly remembered my dog.
"OH Ariel, she needs dinner!"
"Don't worry, my mother will take care of her!" He said walking into the house.
"Well see yah golden!" I said as I ran up the stairs. I needed a bath.
The shower felt great, I stood under it for hours. As I came out I bumped into Dominic.
"What took so long, what were you doing in there?"
He walked right in pushing me aside.
I stared at the door for a while Urgh what's his problem.
I went down to the kitchen to make a sandwich.
Dominic came down after I had finished he was walking to the front door.
" where are you going?" I asked
" for a walk" he replied without looking at me.
"Do you hate me?" I asked.
"No not really!" He said looking at me
"What does not really mean?" I asked him
" I thought you claim to be intelligent, you don't know what that means??" Dominic replied
I narrowed my eyes at him
"Well I hate you! Don't insult me !" But I was smiling alittle.
"You're different from any wolf I have met. You're not telling us who you are but I'll figure it out! I will figure out who you are katherine!" He said walking out.
"I wish you wouldn't ! " I said as I watch him walk out.
I called Nick and told him to be alert.
I thought about Dominic , I couldn't afford to fall for hi, but he was making it so danm hard. His kindness, the love he showed for his fellow wolves, his determination and intelligence. Not to mention his good looks, I thought blushing.

Hey guys sorry for the long wait. School been abit disturbing lol
