"Captain Juno!" Valkyr boomed, his voice cutting through the remnants of battle. "I'm taking a stealth team with me to follow the rebels. We're bringing that traitor back alive. You're in command while I'm out."

Juno nodded sharply. "Understood, Commodore. Be careful."

Valkyr grabbed his E-11S Targeting Rifle and turned to his handpicked squad. "Take out as many rebels as you can, quietly. Echo is mine."

The squad moved out, their steps silent as they disappeared into the dense foliage. The jungle seemed to close in around them, the thick canopy casting everything in deep shadow. Valkyr's mind was laser-focused, the memory of Echo's betrayal driving him forward.

They moved quickly but cautiously, following the trail left by the retreating rebels. The sounds of the jungle were punctuated by the occasional blaster fire, each shot precise and deadly as Valkyr's team picked off stragglers.

As they neared the rebel encampment, the intensity of the firefight escalated. Blaster bolts flew through the air, and the jungle lit up with the fiery glow of explosions. Valkyr's squad moved with practiced precision, their stealth training evident in their lethal efficiency.

Valkyr spotted Echo amidst the chaos, issuing orders to his men. The sight of his former lieutenant fueled his resolve. He raised his sniper rifle, carefully picking off the rebels surrounding Echo, one by one.

Echo's eyes met Valkyr's, and for a moment, time seemed to stand still. Then, with a burst of movement, Echo sprinted into the jungle, his form barely visible in the dense underbrush."After him!" Valkyr ordered, leading the chase.

The pursuit was fierce and relentless. Valkyr's squad moved like shadows, their blasters silencing any resistance. Echo was fast, but Valkyr was determined, and his squad's training gave them the edge.

Finally, they cornered Echo near a clearing. Valkyr stepped forward, his blaster trained on his former comrade.

"Echo, it's over!" Valkyr shouted. "Surrender now, and you might live."

Echo turned slowly, his eyes filled with a mix of anger and desperation. "Valkyr, you can't keep doing this. The Empire is wrong. Everything we fought for—it's all been twisted into something monstrous."

Valkyr's grip tightened on his blaster. "Save your breath. The Republic is gone. The Empire is order, and I serve it."

Echo shook his head, his expression pained. "You used to believe in more than just orders. We were brothers, Valkyr. We fought for freedom, for justice. The Empire is none of those things."

"Enough!" Valkyr snapped. "You're a traitor, and you'll pay for your betrayal."

The firefight around them intensified, blaster bolts whizzing past. Valkyr's squad held the line, but the rebels were desperate, fighting with the ferocity of those who had nothing left to lose.

Echo took a step forward, his voice rising in the midst of battle. "Valkyr, open your eyes! The Empire will destroy everything we once stood for. You can't be blind to that!"

Valkyr's jaw clenched. "My eyes are open, Echo. You're the one who's lost his way."

In a blur of motion, Echo lunged, and the two former comrades clashed. Blows were exchanged, the combat brutal and intense. Echo fought with the desperation of a man driven by conviction, while Valkyr's strikes were fueled by a cold, unwavering loyalty.

Amidst the struggle, Valkyr managed to draw his blaster. Echo's eyes widened as Valkyr fired, the stun bolt hitting him squarely in the chest. Echo collapsed, his body convulsing as the stun took effect.

"Shut up," Valkyr muttered, standing over his fallen friend, "you talk more than a Gungan on death sticks."

The battle around them raged on, but Valkyr's focus was solely on Echo. He holstered his blaster and signaled to his squad.

"Secure the area," he ordered. "We're taking Echo back to the base."

As his men moved to comply, Valkyr looked down at Echo, his expression unreadable. The battle had been won, but the war within Valkyr's own heart was far from over.
