I understand that everyone is eager to see Max and Bradley together right now. Believe me, I want that too. However, I also want to take the time to build their connection properly. I want them to have depth and genuine feelings for each other, not just lust. Their relationship needs to be based on trust, understanding, and shared experiences, which takes time to develop. For those wondering why I added Jenna into the mix, there's a specific reason for it and that is- ERROR... Jenna

---------

Jenna had always been good at reading people. It was a skill she had honed over the years, one that allowed her to understand the subtle currents of emotion beneath the surface. It didn't take long for her to see the weight that Max was carrying, even if he tried to hide it behind his easygoing facade. From the moment they had shared that first, tentative kiss, she knew there was more to his story than he was letting on.

In the beginning, Jenna was just trying to be there for Max. She liked him—really liked him—and wanted to help him through whatever he was dealing with. But as their relationship deepened, she couldn't ignore the ghost that lingered between them: Bradley.

Max rarely mentioned him, but Jenna could see the shadow that passed over his face whenever he returned to their shared dorm. She noticed how he avoided being there whenever possible, choosing instead to spend his nights at her apartment. The silence that hung in the air when they were in the dorm together was oppressive, a tangible reminder of unresolved tension.

Jenna decided to help Max put some distance between himself and Bradley. It wasn't about jealousy or insecurity; it was about giving Max the space he needed to heal and move forward. But she knew she had to be subtle. Max was perceptive, and the last thing she wanted was for him to feel pressured or manipulated.

She started small, suggesting they study together at her apartment instead of the dorm. "It's quieter here," she would say with a smile, and Max, grateful for the escape, always agreed. She planned outings and activities that kept them away from campus, subtly encouraging Max to invest more time in their relationship and his skateboarding practice for the X-Games.

One evening, as they sat on the couch in her apartment, Jenna broached the subject delicately. "You know, I really enjoy having you here," she said, resting her head on his shoulder. "It feels like our little sanctuary."

Max looked down at her, a soft smile playing on his lips. "I like being here too. It's a good break from... everything."

Jenna nodded, understanding the unspoken words. "Maybe we should make it more of a regular thing," she suggested lightly. "It's nice to have a place where we can just be ourselves, without any distractions."

Max seemed to consider this, his eyes thoughtful. "Yeah, I think that might be good for me."

Encouraged by his response, Jenna continued to create opportunities for Max to spend time away from the dorm. She organized study groups with friends, inviting Max along and ensuring they met at neutral locations. She found new skateparks for him to practice at, places that offered fresh challenges and kept his mind focused on the upcoming X-Games.

One day, Jenna casually brought up Bradley while they were having lunch. "How are things with your roommate?" she asked, keeping her tone light and conversational.

Max shrugged, his expression guarded. "It's fine. We don't really talk much."

Jenna nodded sympathetically. "That must be tough, living with someone and not being able to connect. Maybe it's better to keep some distance for now, focus on yourself."
