The Murder Mansion

Chapter 1

Bloomy opened the front door, a welcoming smile brightened her features. "Welcome! I hope you'll enjoy your stay!" She stepped to the side to let Lilac and Golden in.

Liliac nodded. His eyes wandered around the kitchen. It was beautifully decorated with a 1950s aesthetic: the floor tiled with black and white squares. Liliac squinted his eyes from how bright the room was. He looked over to the windows above the sink and grinned at the cute pastel yellow curtains.

"This place looks lovely!" Lilac complimented. Bloomy smiled back warmly, appreciating the kind words. "Why thanks! You can sit next to Tikki and Lime Cream over there." Golden Wool, the stallion standing next to Lilac tilted his head and opened his mouth to speak. "Who-?" Before his question could be answered he felt a strange presence looming over him. "EEEK!" He jumped up, wrapping his arms around Lilac's neck and he turned around to see a rather tall bat-like creature staring down at him. "L-LILAC!" He shouted, He let go of Lilac's neck which caused him to fall back onto his flank.

Tikki, the younger brother, raised an eyebrow at how overdramatic Golden was being. "Sorry to startle you." Lime Cream muttered, her voice low. "Uhh, it's fine. I guess." Golden Wool cautiously stood up. He stepped backwards into Lilac who was shaking his head with a smug grin placed on his lips. "That was amusing." Lilac nudged the stallion beside him. "Not funny, that mare gives me the creeps." He shivered when he felt eyes on him. "I feel like she's staring at me right now." Golden whispered in Lilac's ear. "How can she see when she has no eyes?" He hoped that comment wouldn't offend the stranger, but she seemed to ignore it.

"Let's have a sit around the kitchen table to discuss the house rules and work you'll have to do to keep this place looking spick and span!" Bloomy clapped her hooves in excitement. Golden found that a little odd but he followed the group to the table "Ok..." He sat down at the other end of the table where the siblings sat. He slid down onto the chair next to Lilac. Liliac took his spot at the table and brought out some flowers from his white wicker basket to decide what scent he wanted for his next perfume. Golden grabbed some flowers to help Lilac get rid of the thorns.

Next Astral entered the room after Bloomy, who had a big goofy smirk on his face. The group looked over to see that stallion leaving a trail of mud and dirt throughout the kitchen. They all internally groaned, knowing what this meant. "Sup!" He grinned, a hiccup left his lips. Obviously this guy will be a big annoyance. "The name's Astral..." He introduced himself as he fell into his chair, throwing his dirty hooves on the table. Everyone glared at him disgustedly. "What's the look for?" He glared back. "Ever heard of a bath, or deodorant?" Lilac insulted. Blocking his nose with his hoof, he gagged when he caught a whiff of the offensive odour.

Astral scoffed at everypony. "Whatever, you guys are lame." Astral folded his arms, now grumpy at the situation. Next a mare and alicorn with a face full of expensive makeup entered the room after Bloomy. "Woo! Finally we got some mares!" Astral cheered, while the whole group just sat in silence. "This here is Sweet Berry and Lucien! Please make them feel at home!" Bloomy pointed her hoof towards the two. "It's a pleasure to meet everypony!" The baker smiled as she and Lucien were led to their chairs. "Sit here." Bloomy pulled out the chair and Sweet sat down. "My, what a charming group you all are." Astral was tapping his hoof against the table. "Hold on!" Astral stared up and down at Lucien. "Are you... An alicorn!?" Astral asked, staring at him in shock. Lucien just nodded politely. "Yes I am. Oh, and uhh I don't believe Bloomy would want you to be dirtying her furniture..." Lucien tried his best to be kind even though he felt like a nag. "What?" He glared at Lucien.

Bloomy puffed her cheeks. "ok, he's the first to die..."

Next a shark pony and sea pony walked in, the female's skin and hair was completely dry, while the male was all wet. He shook off like a dog. "Ahh Sidon!" Sea Foam closed her eyes as she shielded her body from the water attack. "Sorry, I gotta shake off before we go inside." He was now fully dry from only one shake. Sea Foam sat next to Sweet Berry, she seemed nice. Sidon followed behind.
