SIYA'S POV
.
.
.
Arjun was dressed in a suit; his face was serious, but his eyes were watery as he fidgeted nervously."Siya, please! Forgive me for everything I've done. I was wrong, and I regret it all."
He said, crying like a child.
I felt very happy to see him crying like this.
"Siya, I beg you for all my sins, please forgive me. I am a very bad man; I am a devil. Please forgive me!"
He sat on his knees and joined his hands.
The sight was so unexpected that I almost laughed. Seeing Arjun, who was always a composed and stern man, looking so vulnerable and almost childlike was something unexpected.
I crossed my arms and leaned back, pretending to consider his pleas.
"Arjun? You regret everything?"
He nodded vigorously, tears now spilling over.
"Yes, everything! I'll do anything to make it up to you."
He said, wiping his flowing tears, his nose was also running. He was looking like a crying child.
"Anything, I say?" I repeated, unable to resist a mischievous grin.
He nodded his head instantly.
"Okay, so first of all, say this: 'Siya, you are very beautiful, you are very nice, I was the fool who could not understand you. If possible, please forgive me for being such an ill-mannered person, dear Siya. I beg you!'" I said, smirking.
To my surprise, Arjun said everything I told him to say while crying and sobbing.
"Now am I forgiven?" He asked, wiping his running nose.
"Okay, but there's one more thing you need to do," I said, crossing my arms.
"W..ha..t?"
"How about... cleaning the entire house? Including the bathroom?" I said mischievously.
To my utter surprise, he nodded again.
"Yes, I'll do it. Just forgive me, please."
I raised an eyebrow.
"And you have to do it while singing 'Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star' in a high-pitched voice. Got it?"
Arjun didn't hesitate. He grabbed a broom and started sweeping the floor, singing the nursery rhyme in the most comically high-pitched voice I had ever heard.
"Twinkle Twinkle Little Star..."
It was so absurd that I couldn't help but burst into laughter.
"And don't forget to scrub the toilets,"
I added, barely able to speak through my giggles.
He dutifully moved to the bathroom, his voice still ridiculously high-pitched, and started scrubbing. The sheer absurdity of it all had me in stitches. I was laughing so hard that tears streamed down my face.
Tit for tat!
I was enjoying the scene, but suddenly I felt as if someone had pushed me into the water.
