Summer heart

Born to bear the heat, forced to endure the cold. She's bright like the sun, warm and ever so fun. Could she be the one? The one to change my heart? The one to touch my soul? Who knew that distance could be so cold. Her rays are so eye catching, her glare is so comforting. She could choose to set me ablaze, yet she never does. Her lips are like June, her eyes are like July. The way she warms me up it could bring tears to my eyes. Tears to my eyes, not from sorrow, but from joy. She takes away my pain, she loves me like a toy. Her beauty is so heavenly, her heart is a sweet melody. I can confidently say that I'm drawn to this soul. That I'll make it my mission, make it my goal. To be the best version of myself, and do away with the old. One day in the country, we'll be grey and old. Watching our legacy and lineage unfold. Dear summer heart, please don't let me go. Don't leave me alone, just come take me home. To a far away place that we've never known, where distance is strange. And lies are never told. I love you a ton, sweet summer soul.
