01. Brea Lockwood's struggle with emotional regulation was a constant battle that seemed to define her existence. By a young age, she had found herself overwhelmed by the intensity of her feelings, often unable to rein them in when she needed to. A lot of the times her anger had gotten the best of her, affecting not only her personal life but her relationships and interactions with others. It seemed as if this characteristic was a hereditary trait within the Lockwood lineage as both her brother and father both exhibited a parallel demeanor. This setback didn't quite contribute to her father's efforts to uphold the esteemed reputation of their family name, a goal that held the utmost importance for him.
02. Nevertheless, this never deterred Brea from nurturing a heart that overflowed with profound compassion. Whenever she encountered someone displaying visible sorrow, she would approach them with a comforting presence and ask if they're okay. Similarly, whenever her friends sought her help, her response consistently reflected her unwavering support, always answering with a resolute "of course."
03. But compassion gets you nowhere in a society full of conformity and deceit.
