Promise?
WOONHAK<———.^♡☆
"Woonhak, stop!" you whined when the boy took your toy before running off with it.
He laughed, "You can't catch me!"
You were trying to sulk in attempts to get your toy back, but you couldn't help but play the game of tag he was initiating. You smiled and ran after him as he screamed with your toy in hand.
"Give it back!" you shout, lunging at him once you were close enough.
Woonhak falls to the ground and for a second, he giggles. That is, until he realizes he got hurt. Tears prick at his eyes as he looks down at his knee to see a small scrape with blood barely flowing out.
To a little kid, blood meant severe danger. He squealed and your mom came running outside to help him. You felt bad as you watched her carry him inside to get a band-aid. You followed closely behind them and kept apologizing to Woonhak, but he just kept crying.
"It's just small, Woonhak," you told him as he was lowered down onto the couch, "I didn't mean to hurt you!"
He sniffles, "It's okay, I'm tough. I just got scared of the blood."
"I did too! I thought I killed you..."
Your mom laughed as she walked in with the band-aid, covering Woonhak's scrape and leaving a pat on both of your heads. You climbed up onto the couch and held your toy closely in your arms that Woonhak dropped after getting hurt.
Still feeling bad for the boy, you decided to hand it over to him for him to cuddle, "There you go, you can hold it for now."
"Thank you! It will make me feel better," he says before laying it in his lap to get comfortable.
You smiled at him, "It's an early Christmas present, but you can't keep it forever!"
Woonhak laughed, "Are you giving this to me because you like me?!"
"Ew, no!" you shove his arm, "That stuff is for grown-ups only."
He snorts, "Well maybe when we're grown up you will like me!"
You shake your head while giggling, finding the boy to be funnier than ever right now.
"How about we get married when we're older!" Woonhak proposes, his eyes wide and his mouth agape like he just thought of the most life changing idea.
You copy his facial expression and nod rapidly, "Let's promise to marry each other when we're older. Since we're best friends now, that means we'll like each other when we grow up."
Woonhak smiles and holds out his pinky, to which you interlock yours with and you guys make the promise to marry each other someday. It was innocent and cute, but to you guys, it was serious.
"Rock, paper, scissors, shoot!"
Woonhak yells victoriously as you pout and throw your head back dramatically, "You're cheating again!"
"How would I cheat at rock paper scissors?!" Woonhak asks with wide, defensive eyes.
You don't reply and instead give him a side eye, to which he laughs at and shakes his head. Woonhak winning rock paper scissors meant he got to play the music in the car today. You guys somewhat shared your music taste, so it wasn't actually a big deal at all.
You almost always drove, as Woonhak had only recently got his license, so he was still learning some things. You would never mention it to Woonhak, but you sometimes saw him observing you as you drove to know a little bit better about driving.
