Delhi
As the evening winds down, Neil reminds Isha, "Hey, we should get some rest. We're heading to Delhi early tomorrow."
Isha nods, gathering her belongings. "Right, thanks for reminding me. I'll just grab my bag from the police station and we can head out in the morning."
Kavita hands her a small package. "Some snacks for the road, dear. Have a safe trip!"
Rohan waves goodbye as Neil and Isha head out, ready to embark on their journey to Delhi the next morning.
The drive to Delhi is a quiet one, with Neil and Isha lost in their own thoughts. The soft music playing in the background sets a soothing tone, but the silence between them is palpable.
As they stop at a roadside stall, the sudden rain catches them off guard. They dash back to the car, getting soaked in the process.
Neil starts the engine and pulls out of the stall, water dripping from their hair and clothes. "We need to change into something dry," he says, his voice straightforward.
Isha nods, her hair plastered to her head. "Yes, that's a good idea."
Neil pulls into a nearby store's parking lot and they both get out, still dripping wet.
As they entered the store, the bell above the door rang out, breaking the silence of the rainy afternoon. Neil and Isha walked in, their footsteps echoing off the racks of clothes. The store was cozy, with soft music playing in the background and the scent of fresh coffee wafting from the corner café.
Neil led the way, his eyes scanning the racks with a quiet intensity. He stopped at a rack of dresses, his fingers trailing over the fabrics as he searched for the perfect one. Isha stood beside him, her hair dripping water onto the floor.
After a moment, Neil pulled out a beautiful dress, its colors vibrant against the dull day outside. He handed it to Isha, his eyes questioning. "Is this okay?"
Isha took the dress, her eyes fixed on it. "Yeah, it's fine."
Neil nodded, his gaze still on her. "You sure?"
Isha nodded, her expression neutral. "Yeah, I'm sure."
Neil's eyes lingered on her for a moment, her wet hair, then he turned to head to the men's section. Isha watched him go, before turning to head to the fitting rooms.
They came out of the fitting rooms, Isha emerging from the doorway with a subtle smile. Neil's gaze was drawn to her immediately, his eyes taking in the sight of her in the dress. The soft fabric clung to her curves, accentuating her slender figure. Her brown hair fell in soft waves down her back, framing her heart-shaped face and highlighting her bright eyes.
Isha walked towards him, her steps light on the floor. Neil's eyes followed her, his gaze drinking in the sight of her. As she approached, he couldn't help but notice the way the dress brought out the warm tones in her skin, making her look radiant.
"Ready to go?" Neil asked, his voice low and gentle, as Isha stopped in front of him.
Isha looked at neil who changed his clothes and nodded, her eyes meeting his. "Yeah, let's go."
As they arrived in Delhi, Neil drove his car into the hotel parking lot. He got out and walked around to open the door for Isha, his movements efficient and quiet. He handed her out of the car, his hand lingering on hers for a moment before he let go.
At the reception desk, he booked two rooms, his words brief and to the point. As they walked to the elevator, he handed Isha her room key. "Get some rest. Your exhibition is tomorrow. I'll come by in the evening and we'll have dinner together. Take some time to relax, you've got a big day ahead of you."
Isha nodded, taking the key from him. "Thanks. I appreciate it."
Neil smiled slightly, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "I'll see you later, then. You can tell me all about your exhibition."
With that, he turned and walked towards his own room, leaving Isha to head to hers. She watched him go, feeling a sense of gratitude and comfort in his presence.
Isha watched him go, feeling a sense of gratitude and comfort in his presence, despite having just met him the day before. She had been surprised by how easy it was to talk to him, how comfortable she felt in his presence. As she settled into her room, she couldn't help but wonder what it was about him that put her at ease.
After a quick nap, Isha spent the rest of the afternoon getting ready for the exhibition. She took a long bath, styled her hair, and put on a new dress. As she was finishing up, there was a knock on the door.
It was Neil, looking handsome in a simple white shirt and black pants. "Ready for dinner?" he asked, his eyes smiling. Isha felt a flutter in her chest as she nodded, feeling a sense of excitement.
