Giano pulled his ringing phone from his pocket. Sucking his teeth once Amani cheated him out of a win taking a mental note to bother her about it later. He reads the unsaved number before answering being met with a familiar nickname. "Jah, hello?" He paused reaching up to turn up his hearing aid watching as Amani moved past him, probably to go to the bathroom shutting the door behind her.

He didn't respond right away, Trying to let the familiar voice sink in. "Karma?" He asked listening to the voice. Karmen was his ex but everyone called her Karm or Karma. He met Karma when he was 17, almost a year after he lost his virginity to Karmen's eldest sister Janelle. Who he was far too young to be around anyways.

Karmen originally went to confront Giano about talking to his elder sister and "getting her pregnant" which didn't happen— it was a lie to get Giano to come back to her. However she failed to realize Janelle would have went to jail. No matter how secret it was Janelle couldn't keep her mouth shut about going with a highschool d1 basketball athlete.

Janelle also didn't mind flaunting about being a future basketball wife to a man she never dated. She also made it a mission to ruin any situationship or relationship he planned on being in or was in. Wanting to be a basketball wife seemed like some sick fetish to her from how much she talked about it. This also made moving on hard and they were never together.

Karmen on the other hand met him after trying to confront him, falling in love with his smile, height and appearance. Definitely enjoying the way he dressed decided she wanted to talk to him.

Janelle was furious and wanted to fight with her sister Karmen immediately although her sister was 17 and Janelle was a month away from being 25. Ever since then him and Karmen have been having problems until they finally broke up when he was 21.

Karmen would be out flirting with boys at parties, and Giano was constantly distant since he had to deal with basketball. Plus he was on TV constantly so he was busy.

"Hey Jahsir," She called him by his middle name as she usually did. "Hey..." He mumbled. He didn't know how to feel when talking to her. Deciding to match whatever tone or mood she goes with.

"I spoke to Janelle—"

"I don't give a Fuck." He cut her off kind of shocking himself since that wasn't the reaction he expected to have but honestly he couldn't care less for that bitch.

Did he just discover a new hatred for her...? Yes.

"Giano seriously." She said sounding more annoyed than he felt she should've. "What you sayin' that for?"

"I'm saying that because you're being childish I thought you would be over that by now." Karmen said causing him to scrunch his face up in response. "You still talk to Janelle after she fought you?" He asked referring to the time when Janelle beat her up at the park near his mom's old house in LA.

"Yea I'm over it. And I have to she's still my sister." He nods before speaking...

"True she's your sister but she's not shit to me. She won't eva' be shit to me and ion gotta kiss ha ass or yours." He heard her suck her teeth
