"So, you're in for some stabs as well?" A voice called out to the young L/n as he sat there, scrolling through his phone and laughing at some instant karma videos before wincing.

"Yeah, this place is obsessed with stabbing," Y/n joked as he looked up from his phone, looking at the long black-haired woman. "Amber, right?" He asked with squinted eyes as if trying to recall the information from the previous day.

"That's me," She smiled as she leaned against the door frame.

"Awesome, what can I do for you?" Y/n asked as he locked his phone and leaned back against the wall, studying the woman before him.

"Nothing that I can say right now," Amber smiled as she pushed off the wall and walked into the room, looking around for a moment, eyes lingering on the television in the corner. "You have nothing to watch in this room?"

"Nope, the hospital was like, 'He is not from here? Give him the worst room!', so..." Y/n chuckled, earning a giggle from her. "Good thing I've got an attention span that lasts a jiffy... Did you know that a jiffy is an actual measurement of time, a hundredth of a second to be exact so my attention span last a few sequential jiffies?"

"You weren't joking," Amber laughed as she listened to the man trail off on a tangent. "Like, how's your memory?"

"Oh, horrible!" Y/n laughed in return as Amber sat on the chair next to his bed. "I can't even remember what I was doing at the bar before the fight, hell, I can't even remember the faces of the three guys... Or was it four... Maybe two... Anyway..." At this point, Amber had her face buried in her hands as she listened to Y/n.

"And here I was, ready to question what you were doing in Tara's room yesterday but I don't think you'd even remember that," Amber joked but froze when she watched Y/n's brows furrow and his eyes squint. "You do remember, right?"

"I remember going for a walk and then... I ended up in a pretty girl's room and I was down a bar of chocolate..." Y/n admitted with a defeated look.

"No way!" Amber burst into laughter, leaning back into the chair as she shook her head. "Do you even remember why you are in Woodsboro?"

"Vacation," Y/n answered with a nod as if he was trying to convince himself more than her.

"You know, normally I wouldn't trust a guy that says he can't remember things like that, like a stranger who can tell me why he was in the room of my friend who was just stabbed by some lunatic and that happened not long after he came to Woodsboro but I feel like you can't fake this level of confusion," Amber rolled her eyes as she listed all that off but Y/n just chuckled.

"Yeah, I can see why that sounds problematic," Y/n chuckled as he sipped his coke. "Honestly, I think it would make more sense if I had come to this town in search of her because I knew Tara was somehow related to the Ghostface killers from years ago and I was curious about that," He added with a laugh, missing the fact that Amber's laugh slowly died down. "Or... Or-" He paused with a cough, clenching his side slightly as he chuckled. "If she had a sister that  was related to one of the killers who no longer stayed here so I came intending to attack her and hospitalise her, then hospitalise myself so that when her sister came here for Tara, I could corner her for a 'new' stab movie of my own..." Y/n laughed before coughing and clenching his side. "I should stop that..."
