Run Devil Run II Special:I'll Always Remember You
I didn’t think I was going to live. I didn’t think I was going to wake up. I didn’t think I was going to lose someone.
Faint whispers snuck their way into my ears. I slowly opened my eyes; harsh light welcomed me. I lifted my arm to shield my sight from the source of my new pain. And that’s when I noticed the bandages around both of my arms, the tubes connected in my wrist and another throbbing pain from my head.
“She’s up!”
“Hurry! Call the doctor!”
“Thank God!”
“Don’t stand up, Agatha!”
“Be careful!” My mom rushed to my side and stopped me before I could even land a foot on the ground.
She made me go back to the bed and told me not to give her another heart attack. I nodded slowly but it still caused me severe dizziness. The doctor went in and injected me something. Just a few minutes later, the world stopped spinning. I was able to observe my surroundings with ease.
My parents and younger brother and my best friend; Alice were around me with their worried faces just inches from my puzzled ones.
“She’s fine now but we still need to check on her. If her good condition continues for 3 consecutive days, she can go home” the doctor said and left shortly after looking at me with awe.
Suddenly, I remembered everything that had happened last night.
Robert, the love of my life, and I were on our way back from Alice’s birthday party. We were thinking of telling our parents about our plans for college. Then a speedy car overtook us, Robert lost control of the wheel and we fell into the sea cliff. I still remember him quickly removing our seat belts and pushing me off the car before it went into the water. But I don’t remember him getting out himself.
Panic showed on my face, “Where’s Robert?”
My mom sighed heavily, my dad just looked away, my younger brother pursed his lips but I didn’t miss the tear that fell from Alice’s eye.
“Where. Is. Robert?” I repeated slowly but my voice shook as I saw them wince at every word that left my mouth.
“Alice! Answer me! Where is he?”
She covered her face, “I’m sorry. I’m so sorry”
“Don’t say you’re sorry! I’m just asking you where Robert is. I need to see him”
“He…he’s…” and she shook her head as more tears fell.
“No! That’s not true! He’s out there right? Rob! This is not a good joke okay?!” I tried to stand up and pointed at the door, “Let him in!”
They held me and tried to pin me on the bed but I didn’t let them. Robert needs me! He’s outside! I know it! He must be thinking it’s a good prank. When I get my hands on him, I’m going to beat him up!
“Call the doctor, Alice!”
The doctor came and injected something on me again. I struggled harder and fought my way off the bed. The dizziness came back but I didn’t care. I need to see Robert. I was able to stand up but then everything went black.
