During my years of studying the underground and the adaptions monsters have gained, I have come to several interesting conclusions. These files will contain my findings over the years.
I have noticed an interesting feature monsters have developed. As there are times where magic is scarce and little food, monsters have developed a way to store large amounts of magic. This means that we often eat more in times of plentiful food and magic so when food is scarce we have enough stored magic to live. Monsters can also transfer magic so if one has enough magic to share, they can share with another who needs magic. This has, however, resulted in cases where a mate, family member, or close friend will give all of their magic to another causing themselves to die from lack of magic. The most common occurrence of this is giving magic to a child or expecting monster during times of scarce magic. This is also the reason that not many children are born unless the group has food stores.
Back when monsters were on the surface, they looked extremely different. However, the magic and environment of the underground caused them to take on a new type of appearance. This appearance is called a candygore appearance. Often, it means wounds leave permanent scars and the like, as well as bright candy colors.
