Loud coughing echos my room the same way it's been all night. My mom comes up the stairs and she slightly frowns. "How are you feeling?" She asks sitting down next to me and placing a cold washcloth on my forehead. "I still feel the same as yesterday." I grown.

"Nari we should take you to a hospital. I know you don't want to but it's what's best for you." I shake my head. "No, it'll go away soon." I say and my mom just sighs. "You've been bed ridden for the past three days let's just go please?" I shake my head and take the covers off me. "Im taking a shower..." I say and slam the bathroom door behind me.

Changmin's POV

"Changmin have you heard from Nari lately?" Gunil asks and I shake my head slowly. I mean I've sent her good morning and good night messages but she never responded. I figured she just needed space." I say. "Well now I'm really worried. She hasn't been answering any of us..." Junhan frowns worriedly.

"How about we all just go to her house after school and check up on her?" I ask and they all seem to agree. "All right let's all meet at the school gates okay?" They all nod

During class after class I couldn't stop worrying about Nari. I mean she wasn't responding to any of us so there was something definitely wrong. I just hope shes okay...

Im walking towards the gates just to be stopped by Jeno. "Yes?" I ask him trying to be calm. "Where has Nari been?" And I roll my eyes. "Why do you care?" I say clenching my fists. I mean who does he think he is? "Just wanted to talk some sense into her. Still cant believe shes giving your sorry ass a chance." I scoff I get ready to bite back at him but I shake away the thought and just push past him. Not looking back.

I see Junhan and his friends waiting at the gate and I jog toward them. "Ready to go?" Gunil asks and I nod. We hop in our cars and drive to Nari's place. The entire time on the way there I had this gut wrenching feeling that something wasn't right and I'm genuinely scared to even find out.

After we arrive we see Nari's mom outside waiting for us. "I figured you guys would show up at some point. I'm assuming you're changmin. Nari was right you are very handsome." I feel heat rise up on my face and I can tell I'm probably beat red. "Thank you." I smile

"Go ahead inside she's in her room." We all head up to her room and I knock on her bedroom door.

Nari's POV

"Mom! I said I'm fine. Just please, leave me alone..." I manage to yell out all groggily. But the door creaks open and I groan "Mom!" I whine and look towards the door and don't see my mom but Changmin and my friends. "What are you guys doing here?" I ask and Changmin comes up to me giving me hug.

"We wanted to check up on you since you wouldn't respond to your messages." Gunil says and I just weekly nod. "Have you been eating? You've lost a shit ton of wait for the past 3 days." Gaon asks sternly. "I've been trying but it's hard to."

"Nari have you been to the doctors?" Changmin asked and I shake my head no. "Im not going. I'll be fine..." I close my eyes hoping they would leave the conversation at that but no. "Absolutely not, you're going." Jooyeon says. "No Jooyeon I'm not going, I don't want to..."

"Why are you being so damn stubborn about this Nari? There just gonna help you." Seungmin worriedly says while holding my hand. "No there not because I already know what there going to say..."

"What do you mean by that?" Junhan asks and I just sigh not wanting to say it. But my mom comes in to the room and drops the bomb. "Nari has multiple Myeloma. A cancerous plasma cell is eating away at her body. And the cure for it is not very reliable. It's pretty much a 50/50 chance..."
