This is just a short story

Dazai and Chuuya had been together for five years, their relationship strong and passionate. They lived in a small, cozy apartment in the heart of the city, their lives intertwined in a way that made them inseparable. However, there was a secret that Dazai was keeping from Chuuya, a secret that would soon unravel and change their lives forever.

Dazai had been battling a terminal illness for the past year, his condition worsening day by day. But he had chosen to keep it from Chuuya, not wanting to burden his beloved with the knowledge of his impending death. He masked his pain with smiles and laughter, pretending that everything was fine when in reality, he was suffering silently.

As the weeks passed, Chuuya began to notice subtle changes in Dazai's health. He saw the way Dazai would wince in pain when he thought Chuuya wasn't looking, the way he would try to hide his coughs and shortness of breath. Chuuya's heart ached at the thought of Dazai suffering alone, and he knew he had to convince him to seek medical help.

One evening, as they sat on the balcony watching the sunset, Chuuya mustered up the courage to broach the subject. "Dazai, I've noticed that you haven't been feeling well lately. Please, let me take you to the doctor. You don't have to face this alone."

Dazai's heart clenched at Chuuya's words, knowing that he couldn't hide the truth any longer. With tears in his eyes, he finally confessed to Chuuya about his illness, about how there was no cure and that he was slowly deteriorating. Chuuya's world shattered as he listened to Dazai's confession, his heart breaking at the thought of losing the love of his life.

Despite Chuuya's pleas and insistence, Dazai refused to seek medical treatment, accepting his fate and choosing to let nature take its course. He didn't want to prolong the inevitable, didn't want to put Chuuya through the pain of watching him suffer.

As the days turned into weeks, Dazai's condition worsened, his body growing weaker with each passing moment. Chuuya stayed by his side, tending to his every need, his heart heavy with grief and sorrow. He watched helplessly as Dazai's once vibrant spirit slowly faded away, leaving behind a shell of the man he once knew and loved.

In his final moments, as Dazai took his last breath, Chuuya held his hand tightly, tears streaming down his face. "I love you, Dazai," he whispered, his voice breaking with emotion. 'I'll never forget you, no matter where life takes us.'

As Dazai closed his eyes for the last time, Chuuya made a silent vow to never forget their love, to cherish the memories they had shared together. And as he watched Dazai's life slip away, a glimmer of hope sparked within him, a belief that they would see each other again, no matter what it took.

Years passed, and Chuuya found himself living a quiet life, his heart still heavy with the memory of Dazai. It was then that fate intervened, bringing them together once more in a way neither of them could have imagined.

In their next lives, Dazai was reincarnated as a boy named Yozo, while Chuuya became Kazuto. They met each other in kindergarten, drawn together by a bond that transcended time and space. As they grew older, their friendship blossomed into something more, their love rekindled in a way that felt both familiar and new.

Yozo and Kazuto lived a long and happy life together, taking care of each other in sickness and in health. Their love endured through the trials and tribulations of life, a testament to the strength and resilience of their bond. And as they grew old and grey, they knew that they were meant to be together, destined to find each other in every lifetime that followed.

And so, as they took their last breaths together, hand in hand, they smiled knowing that their love would endure for eternity, transcending the boundaries of time and space. And as they closed their eyes for the final time, they were at peace, content in the knowledge that they would always find each other, no matter where life took them.
