Mei Yang woke up suddenly in the middle of her sleep. This was normal behavior recently because she transmigrated into a novel and she was sleeping in a house which wasn't technically hers.
It was summer vacation, so she didn't have to worry about school. She only been here for a week but she never saw their parents.
With her sister mostly taking care of them. The central air conditioner in the room was very cool. Mei Yang lay on the bed, tossing and turning in search of sleep. She felt her mouth was a little dry, so she simply got out of bed and planned to go to the kitchen downstairs to get some water.
When she went downstairs, she tried to walk slowly since everyone should be asleep at this time.
However, when she went downstairs, she found that the lights were still on in the kitchen on the main floor. Mei Yang was surprised, thinking who would be using the kitchen at this time?
The living room was very spacious because it was late at night, even if a small lamp was turn on, everything was still dark.
There was no big light in the kitchen, only an orange wall lamp was on. The light was soft, giving the kitchen a layer of charming ambiguity.
"Sister?"
Her sister was sitting on the sofa drinking milk. When she heard her voice, she raised her head, smiled at her and said "it's late, what you doing up?"
"I couldn't sleep.."
After hearing that, Ai Yang got up from the couch and headed towards the kitchen. Mei sat at the kitchen table well her sister warmed up some milk for her. The two sisters talked for awhile before heading upstairs to sleep.
