!Prologue!
11:30pm Tuesday,July 18th. Company 📍
As the trees bristled in the dark rich night sky, the moon casting a soft glow on the cars and lamps that surrounded a beautiful parking lot not more than 2 miles away. The two figures were sitting in the limousine slightly as the driver drove in silence. Suddenly, Mei spoke up.
"Nia. I'm sure you know how upset I am at you for not wearing your employer badge, right?"
She spat harshly. Her dark brown eyes pouring coldly into Nia's big blue ones. Nia looked up at her innocently.
"Oh! I'm sorry! I left it on my counter, I can go get it if you turn the-"
Nia sighed harshly and interrupted her. Looking away from her and glancing outside the tinted windows.
"No. I'm not turning this limousine around, I just ask that you please bring it tomorrow. It's important to not only your status here as my secretary, but to the company as well Nia."
Nia only giggled and kicked her legs against the front seat a little bit. Nia had a habit of being more of a bubbly adult than usual. Yet Mei found it strangely..cute. Nia spoke up innocently.
"I promise I'll bring it tomorrow! I pinky promise! Don't you trust me miss? Do you?"
She looked up at Mei with puppy eyes. Mei instantly looked away, but no matter how hard she tried. She found herself being drawn back to her big blue eyes that were begging to be forgiven. She sighed harshly.
"Fine. I trust you Nia."
Nia squealed and hugged her tightly, Mei's cheeks brightened with a red hue, considering the fact that Mei isn't used to so much affection from someone, yet alone her own secretary.
"Nia..we'll talk more when we get inside..."
