Context/Backstory (narrator's pov)

Emily's marriage is an arranged one. Well, it wasn't her fault, really. The only guy she ever has a crush on had been dead for like- more than ten years, Miachel Jackson.
Well, that wasn't even the worst part. She was getting married to James, her colleague, whom she hated the guts of, and the hate went both ways. They were always in competition, even for the littlest of things- like who got the sandwich at lunch time first.

Both Emily and James had not been able to find a partner, so their families decided that it would be best for them to wed eachother. Their families were surprisingly on board, with no hesitation whatsoever. But it seemd like they forgot to consult the couple first.
