It was never Adelaide's dream to be successful, because her whole life could be described as nothing but 'ordinary'. Ordinary parents, ordinary school, and ordinary place of birth.
Her whole life, she looked up to Furina De Fontaine, the Hydro Archon of her birthplace. Signing up to meet the Archon, but to only be rejected, leaving young Adelaide in pieces. Because of that, Adelaide always aimed to be the next Archon of Fontaine, determined to let the citizens contact her when needed.
But little did she know, only a year later she was 10, her dreams would be shattered into a gazillion pieces as Furina, the all-knowing powerful Hydro Archon, would be accused of faking her whole identity, then was executed right on the spot with the famous blonde Traveler proving herself right.
Adelaide, who was too scared to take part in spectating the trial, stayed home, crying all day long before she fell asleep from exhaustion. She was confused. She was mad about the Traveler, who basically was the one who shattered her dream. But there was nothing she could do. Just an ordinary girl living in Fontaine, living an ordinary life.
But everything would change that one night, where things took a bloody turn.
