SERENITY HAD SNUCK off to the Archery field, which no one really ever used anymore. She had always liked archery because, in a way, it was calming. And it was one of the easier sports, or at least for her. Usually, girls didn't play sports unless it was cheerleading. The only people who knew that Serenity liked Archery were Audrey, Doug, Bash, and Serenity's family.

Serenity's parents had always been easy-going and had let Serenity choose her interests. Although, Audrey didn't really approve of Archery, she still supported Serenity's little hobby. Just as Serenity was clipping the arrow onto the bowstring, she heard footsteps behind her and when she turned around, she saw Jay walking towards her.

Even in while being in her secret spot, she really couldn't avoid Jay, could she? "What are you doing here?" Serenity sighed.

"I was talking to Coach Jenkins, and ended up getting a little lost." Jay explained. Serenity scoffed, it really was hard to "get lost". Specially outside, in the field.

"You got lost?" Serenity asked. Jay nodded his head in response. "Do you know how hard it is to get lost here?" Serenity chuckled. "Just go that way and you'll be back at the Tourney field." Serenity pointed to her right before turning around continuing with her Archery practice.

She placed the arrow on the arrow's rest before lifting the bow up. "What are you doing?" Jay asked as he continued walking towards Serenity. He clearly did not know how to listen.

"Archery." Serenity responded as she aimed for the target, pulled the string back using two fingers underneath the arrow and one above, and then she released the arrow. The arrow ended up hitting the target, a satisfied smile appeared on Serenity's face.

"How did you do that?" Jay smiled.

"I'm just good at everything I do." Serenity chuckled.

"Can I try?" Jay asked.

"Sure." Serenity smiled as she gave him the bow and an arrow from the quiver. It was nice to see someone take interest in Serenity's hobbies. Jay took the bow and arrow and clipped the arrow onto the bowstring. The he pulled the string back with three fingers. T

he one thing Serenity was focused on was him arms. Why the hell was he so muscular? She noticed that Jay was pulling the arrow to high which meant that the arrow would land below the target.

"You're doing it wrong." Serenity told Jay as she moved to his right side. She placed her hand over Jay's hand that pulled back the bowstring and loosened his pull on the string. Jay looked down at Serenity, she was so close to him. He could feel his heart beating out of his chest.

Serenity realized how close she was to Jay and cleared her throat as she backed up.

Jay released the arrow and it landed, exactly, right below the target. "Better luck next time." Serenity chuckled. Jay scoffed as he gave the bow back to Serenity. She connected the bow to the quiver which was on her back.

A little birdie started flying over towards Serenity and Jay. "Whoa, what is it doing?" Jay asked as the bird was flying around.

"Are you scared of birds?" Serenity asked as she extended her finger out so the bird could land on it. Which was exactly what the little birdie did.

"Back in the isle, birds are definitely were not friendly." Jay said as he suspiciously eyed the bird. Serenity looked up at Jay with a sad look on her face. She couldn't imagine what it must've been like to grow up in the isle of the lost. And maybe, Ben was was right and the VKs weren't like their parents.

"Well, this is just a little birdie." Serenity smiled as she used her other hand to pet the bird. "Aren't you, little one?" Serenity asked the bird. She had inherited the power to talk to animals just like her mother.
