As Gwendolyn began investigating behind Max’s message she went back to her school to get a few things before heading home to decipher her Grandpa's message when she was intercepted by a Magister Plumber named Labrid they were at first made up a few misunderstanding before they discuss things through regarding Max’s message and disappearance and Magister Labrid only now remembering that the famed Hero Ben 10 and The wielder of the Omnitrix is currently on Japan.

And so the two team up and their investigation of an alien weapon smuggling lead to them meeting up with a familiar face which was Kevin Levin as he broker of the deal only to be not paid off when they were intercepted by both Gwendolyn and Magister Labrid.
