The next morning, Rosalind awoke with a sense of eager anticipation that fueled her steps as she descended the stairs. Today marked the gentlemen's visit-a day she had been looking forward to-where the ladies would have the opportunity to meet potential suitors and perhaps find a suitable husband.

As Rosalind entered the room, she caught a glare from Lady Featherington, yet she brushed it off. Without hesitation, she took a seat beside her sister, positioning herself directly across from the Featherington sisters.

Rose was more excited for her sister than ever, especially since Marina had met so many fine gentlemen. As the supportive sister she was, Rosalind eagerly looked forward to meeting the gentleman who might one day become her sister's husband.

Suddenly, a maid entered the room, capturing everyone's attention.

-Callers, ma'am. The Earl of Stafford and the Marquess of Finley.
she announced.

Rosalind felt a surge of nerves. She silently congratulated herself for mustering the courage to engage with so many people the day before.

-Oh, how delightful! You must credit my vibrant fashion
Lady Featherington chimed in with a smile, her gaze affectionately on her excited daughters.

The maid cleared her throat awkwardly.
-For Miss Marina Thompson.

Rosalind couldn't help but observe Lady Featherington's reaction as the two men entered, each bearing gifts for her dear sister, Marina. Smiling warmly at her sister, Rosalind stood up to give them space to approach.

The room buzzed with excitement as callers arrived from every corner, each presenting gifts for Marina Thompson. Rosalind couldn't help but feel a rush of happiness for her older sister, seeing how each gentleman showed genuine interest in Marina's company and charm. The fact that Lady Whistledown had written about them only heightened the anticipation and promise of more admiration and attention for Marina in the days to come.
