CLEARING HIS THROAT, he opened his textbook with a subtle side-glance to the girl who sat beside him. His left hand fiddled with his pencil as he tried so hard to not make it noticeable that he was stealing glances at her.

She sat at her desk, completely unaware of the boy beside her that analyzed every inch of her. Her bottom lip was caught between her teeth, chewing ever so slightly. She scanned the textbook in front of her, trying to absorb the information as best as she could without missing a beat. Those [e/c] eyes were so drawn to the pages before her that it seemed like nothing could pierce the little bubble she was in.

Tsukishima knew she was only a few feet away, but it felt like they were worlds apart. She was so out of reach, and it made him want to retreat. He didn't want to try to reach out if he could never attain it. He didn't want to show that he cared, fearing that he would be shown exactly why he should've never cared at all.

But he wanted to know.

He wanted to share that little bubble with her.

BEFORE WE BEGIN,

i just want to preface with the fact that i have not written in over maybe TWO YEARSSSSS. i'm so rusty and i feel so out of place writing now because it's not a part of my usual life, but i really want to get back into it and take back some of the hobbies i lost over time.

my boyfriend came up with this book idea (genuinely insane considering i never thought i would have told him that i do this shit or that he would even be willing to come up with an idea with me) yes he was hyped abt me liking his idea and i hope he'll be even more excited knowing i turned it into an actual book <3

i hope my writing isn't horrible and i hope you all enjoy it. thank you to the people who stuck around all this time and waited for me because it motivated me to come back. i thank you everyday for it. i love you all.
