As I said before, my father was born in Germany.
His family owned a well-known mafia group that ruled around Spain and Germany.
He told me that at the age of five, he moved to Mexico because of his parents. They trained him there so he could take over their business. And until the age of fifteen, they finally let my father outside to slowly take charge of the business.
His parents are not that bad at all; even though they are indeed ruling the mafia, they mostly do things the right way and rarely do things the bad way the mafia usually does. But nonetheless, as the word mafia suggests, sometimes they will also do something bad. Because that's just how the world works.
But my father once told me he doesn't want to take over the business because he wants to enlist in the army. But since he is the only child, he had no choice but to take over.
Slowly, when the business was in his hands, he tried to change the way they worked. Even if it's just minor changes, it's working. That's why he could get his way into being a CIA agent.
But the government was aware of his background. Even if he's already assured them he won't do anything that would damage them, they are still skeptical about him, which leaves him no choice but to make a deal with them.
When his mafia gang is needed, they will help. And in return, the government would not bat an eye at what they would do as long as it's not affecting them or getting in their way. It turned out to be good.
My father quickly climbed in rank, meeting Kate Laswell in his way. They quickly became close friends, helping each other when needed. I like Aunt Kate so much; she has been there ever since I was born. And she became my mother figure once my mom died due to giving birth to Theodore, my little brother.
Oh, my father also told me how he met with my lovely mother.
He said there's this one day when CIA had to work together with MI6 to take down an enemy. Which led him to meet Anastasia, my mother. Yes, my mother is an agent from MI6. That's why many of their friends are either agents or soldiers.
As time goes by, the two become closer. And here and there, they fell in love with each other. Aunt Kate was happy for the both of them. And the three became best friends.
When I was born, the three bonds became even more inseparable. Aunt Kate would always drop by my house just to meet me.
And just like that, I grew up knowing Aunt Kate since the beginning. Sometimes my parents and aunt Kate would bring along a friend or two, which ended up allowing me to know most of their friends.
When I was seven, there was a huge change in the government, which led the Schatten family to have to move somewhere private. That's when I have to leave my social life and get homeschooled and all. My training and exercise have become harder; my father said it was a need because I have to get stronger for them.
At the age of ten, because of some circumstances, I had to take my first mission. It's harsh and hard for me, but I can't do anything about it. My parents also had to turn a blind eye to that because, if not, it would just make matters worse, they said to me back then.
Fortunately, Rio and Aunt Kate are often there for me when my parents are away. At least I still have some comfort from them.
My homeschooling ended at that time, when my first mission came. I was a genius after all. But one thing that I really lack is my strength. And for that, my father made me do hard psychical exercises to strengthen me.
At the age of fourteen, I made a name for myself in between my parents's friends. Even though I couldn't show up to the mafia world just yet because the age in my family to be known to that world is fifteen, I still have one year for that. After all, it's also beneficial to me because I don't have to face unnecessary problems and can just focus on the mission my father often gave me.
