(Reminder of last chapter)
Realizing it was just a dream, Sean sighed heavily, his thoughts swirling with confusion and longing. He couldn't deny the intensity of his feelings for Drew, now amplified by the vividness of the dream.

But with Drew engaged and their roles defined within the palace, Sean knew these desires could only ever exist in the realm of dreams.

As he lay there in the quiet of his room, Sean silently hoped that someday, somehow, his feelings for Drew could find a place beyond the confines of his dreams.

26 days until Drew's marriage
(4.6.1450)

Sean opened the door into the dark room, seeing Drew still asleep. He wondered if he should wake him up or not.

But Drew was awake, wondering who the intruder was. He knew what to do in this situation: if the stranger didn't say anything and got closer, he would launch a surprise attack.

Sean got closer, admiring Drew’s features. God, why did a prick have to be so beautiful? Before Sean could finish his thought, he found himself pinned roughly against the wall, his wrists held above his head.

"Hey, it's me, Drew! Prince!" Sean stammered. Drew's hands were so soft... and Drew had pinned him against the wall?! What a crazy morning...

Drew released Sean's wrists. "God, I am so sorry, Sean. It's just so dark in my room... I didn’t know it was you," Drew muttered, blushing with embarrassment.

"It's okay, Drew. I'll let you know it's me next time," Sean said, patting Drew's shoulder. Drew was so cute when he blushed. "But you need to get dressed. Zoey is coming over again."

"Ughhhh, that bitch... why can't she go away..." Drew muttered under his breath. He wasn't in love with Zoey; it was a forced engagement.

Zoey was so double-sided. Every time they were alone, she would start a fight between them. But once someone else entered, she'd protect the "angel." It was annoying.

"Prince Drew, don't use that language. Zoey is a nice person," Sean said sternly, looking at Drew.

"Whatever. I am getting dressed," Drew said. He took off his clothes, leaving only his underwear. Sean stared straight at the wall, not daring to look at Drew. He wasn't making the same mistake again.

"Sean? Can you help me button up my shirt?" Drew asked. All Sean could think was 'shit, shit, shit, shit, shit.'

"Of course, Prince Drew." Sean got closer and kneeled, slowly buttoning up Drew's shirt. Drew grabbed Sean's chin, making eye contact with him. (Sean was 5'9 and Drew was 5'5.)

"Call me Drew, since we are friends, right?" Drew said, smiling a bit. Sean couldn't handle the sight and looked away, but his chin remained in Drew's hand. Sean made eye contact again.

"Of course, Pri—I mean, Drew." Sean finished buttoning Drew's shirt. Drew let go of Sean's chin, and Sean stood up, wondering how he hadn't died yet.

"Thanks, Sean." Drew admired himself in the mirror, smiling as he put on his shoes.

"Let's go then, Drew." Sean grabbed his hand. Drew didn't mind but blushed instead as he was pulled out of his room.

Sean and Drew walked towards the grand hall, the tension from earlier still hanging in the air.

When they arrived, Zoey was already there, dressed impeccably and exuding an air of superiority. She turned as they entered, her eyes lighting up with an artificial warmth.
