you were currently sitting on the couch, scrolling through netflix on the tv to see what would be interesting enough to watch for the rest of the day. it's not like there was much to do anyway.

on the other hand, bakugou was also sitting on the couch.

and of course, on the other end.

he wasn't doing much, just scrolling on his phone.

it was silent until you felt your stomach grumbling.

not only could you feel it, but you could hear it.

you realize you had forgotten to make yourself the healthy breakfast you had planned.

after a couple seconds of silence, you get up from the couch and head to the kitchen.

although you had promised you'd make a healthy breakfast before going to the gym, you decided to just look for a quick snack.

as you look into the pantry, you take out something to easily satisfy your hunger.

perfect.

a donut!

before you could take a bite out of it, you hear someone walking up behind you.

"are you really gonna eat that?"

you turn around to face him, with your expression filled with a blend of disgust and confusion.

"did you really just say that to me?"

"shit, not like that...you look good- I mean, fine. you look fine." he stammered out, stumbling on his words.

"it's just that- there are better things for you to eat." he continued.

"like what? I don't feel like cooking right now."

"ya could've just asked..." he mumbled, avoiding eye contact.

"aw are you saying you'd cook for me if I ask?"

"shut the fuck up, I cook for myself, you should just change your shitty ass diet before the media calls you the fucking corpulent hero" he laughs

"alright bruh"

"hey, what genre do you like?" you asked, turning your head to bakugou.

"what kind of random ass question is that?" he replied, not looking away from his phone. 

well, trying not to look at you specifically.

"well as you can see, I'm picking out a movie to watch."

"and why should I care?"

he had you at a loss of words for a minute.

you dart your eyes around the room as you think of what to say.

"is it that bad of a crime I want to spend time with my dear classmate? I mean, we don't know how long we'll be in here for."

he lifts his head up from his phone to look at you.

. . .

his eyes scan your face. looking carefully at your eyes, nose, lips.

as the seconds go by, you still find him staring at you, as if he's judging you in some way?

he then smirks slightly, looks away from you, and says confidently, 

"romance."

...

what?

the same katsuki bakugou that blows everything up and only has his mind filled with rage and power, is into romance?

"hey, no way!" you exclaim as you draw closer to him on the couch "there's noooo way somebody like you is into romance!"

"uhm back the fuck up, i don't know what made you think it was okay to get that close to me first of all, and second of all, the fuck you mean 'somebody like me'?" he yells out

"well, y'know, you are mostly destructive and antisocial half of the time so i never knew you were into allat " you tease

"oh shadddddduuuuupppp"

as you go back to search for a movie, you couldn't help but think about how he was looking at you for a moment

you were definitely oblivious of his feelings, but you weren't outright stupid. you know when somebody is checking you out.

the way he focused on your features gave you some feeling of nervousness.

sure, there were many people that liked you in the past but you could never really say you had any interest in them.

but bakugou?

and the way looking at you made him think of romance?!

was he...flirting maybe?

bakugou however, is currently recovering from what he thinks was a 'bold' move.

again, he's just looking at his phone, purposely avoiding your gaze.

while he believes he just confessed to you right then and there, you just thought it was abnormal. 

there's no way somebody like him could feel that way for you.

...which is what you think to yourself as he finds himself looking at you again.
