When you met Lando, your life changed completely for the better. Lando is your first first relationship. Your love is priceless and profound. You've been on the verge of breaking up many times, but it's to hard for both of you to let go. Things have been complicated between you recently. It all started when Lando was out with a Portuguese model, which he hadn't told you about. And that's how it all developed. The whole internet thinks he's dating this model (which hurts you a lot). He keeps asking to meet this model, even though you've told him several times that it hurts you. Lando keeps pleading that the model is just a friend. Agan and again, you get into heated arguments. Over time, the whole thing calms down a bit. But a few days ago, the model turns up in Monaco again. You shout at him again. A fierce argument breaks out. You split up. The next day, Lando brings your things to your apartment and you give him his things.
"Emma... I really wish we could start all over again... but too much has happened. But I want you to know that I never bterogenized you. It doesn't work between us anymore..." he says to you vulnerably.
You guys hug each other warmly - just what you needed right now.
"Are we really breaking up now Lan?" you ask him quietly.
"Yes... we're breaking up for good..." he whispers, still hugging you.
"I still love u Lan". You say to him while hugging him.
Those words stung in his heart. There was a brief pause.
"I know... I love you too... but it's not enough... it doesn't work between us... we're not good for each other..." he replies back while gently caressing
You pull back in the hug and looks in his eyes with water eyes.
"Please don't leave me Lan."
He looks at you vulnerably, and with a sad look in his eyes. He gently runs his hand over your face, and down your neck. He swallows hard.
"Emma... don't... you know this is the best for us... we're fighting... we're hurting each other... over and over again... it hurts me more than you will ever know because... I love you... I love you so much... but It doesn't work... you and me... we're not a good match..." he says softly.
You take a step back with tears rolling down your face.
He looks at you with a pained look. Seeing you crying hits him deeply. He takes a few steps towards you, but still keeps a certain distance as not to overwhelm you.
"Please don't cry... I know this is hard for you... it's hard for me too... you have no idea how much this hurts me..." he says with his voice breaking.
"You don't know anything!"
He looks at you with pain. He's surprised and hurt by your words. After a few seconds, he speaks again. Soft and with vulnerability in his voice.
"Yes... I do... I know it hurts you... I know that you're not ready for this, for us to be over... and... believe me, I don't want it either... but you know it's for the best... you just don't want to admit it yet..."
You look down.
He gently lifts your chin with his hand so that you look back at him. He studies your face, all the things he falls in love with, and it hurts him. He runs his thumb over your cheek.
"Please don't look at me like that... don't make things harder than they already are..." he says, with a sad and pained look in his eyes.
"I just can't imagine it Lan, I thought you would be my first and last."
He looks at you vulnerably and his eyes get watery. His lower lip trembles as he swallows hard.
"I thought it would be like that too... I imagined our future together... but... it's not working anymore... we're not working anymore... we... we're making us both unhappy..." he says with an broken voice.
"Mhm, then this is it."
He looks at you with pain, sadness, and resignation. You see in his eyes that he's also dying inside, but is trying to put on a brave face. He nods slowly.
"It seems so... yes... it's over..." he says quietly.
"Goodbye Lan" saying with tears rolling down my cheek.
Seeing you cry breaks his heart all over again. He blinks quickly to stave off the tears.
"Goodbye Em... and... just so you know... I'll always love you... you've been the best thing that ever happened to me... I'll never forget you..." he says in a vulnerable voice.
"Me to Lan." Saying while crying.
He stands in front off you for a few seconds, silently looking at you. He doesn't want to go, he just wants to hold you in his arms, but he knows that it will only make you cry more.
"Take care of yourself Em... yeah?" he says in a low voice.
"Mhm, you to Lando." saying with tears streaming down my face.
His heart breaks again as he looks at your tear-filled face. In that moment, he wants to hold you, to hold you tightly and never let you go. But he keeps his distance. The hardest thing he's ever had to do.
"I hope you find someone who makes you happy... who's better for you then I am..." he says in a low voice, as he takes one more step back.
Your just looking at him and smiles weakly.
He sees your weak smile and it makes his heart ache. Seeing you like this kills him. He looks down, feeling the pain. He looks back up at you - the girl who made him feel all the feelings he had never felt before, the girl he loved with all his heart. Even now, in this moment, it hurts to look at you... but it hurts even more to turn his back on you.
"Goodbye Em..." he says quietly.
"Goodbye Lan." You say when he walks out.
He takes a few steps backwards and then turns around slowly. He walks towards the elevator - every step he takes, breaks his heart. He has the urge to look back at you - for one last time, but he doesn't. He reaches the elevator, steps in, and presses the button. The doors close, and he is gone... leaving you standing there alone in the hallway.
When the doors close tears start streaming down my face.
Lando sits silently in the elevator, clenching his fists tightly to control his emotions. He closes his eyes but the image of you with tears in your eyes keeps popping up in front of his eyes. The elevator reaches the bottom floor and the doors open. Lando gets out of the elevator and walks quickly to his car. Once he's inside, he slumps in the seat and buries his face in his hands. That's when the tears come. He stays there, alone and heartbroken letting it all out... crying in solitude.
