Toxic laid in the elders den, staring at the wall before drifting off to sleep. His eyes slowly closed and his breathing slowed, he had calmed down for once. Toxic laid still as he awoke in a dream, he dreamt he was falling.
The dream.
Toxic fell into a black abyss, it seemed bottomless. He couldn't scream, like his mouth was pinned shut. Tears welled from his eyes, his limbs unable to move like he was paralyzed, like hew as tied together to stay in one spot. He kept falling, praying for it to end. As he fell deeper, the dark consumed him, he hit the ground hard and opened his eyes to darkness. He mumbled trying to speak. He had just laid there, letting his thoughts take over. Before anything else happened, toxic looked over at a pair of red eyes, peering at him. There was something off about these eyes, some overwhelming feeling about the way they looked at him. Toxics eyes widened as he heard whispers around him.Toxic kept looking at the pair of red eyes as they emerged from the shadows. The black wolf creature with red eyes grew, it grew into a glob monster wolf. The creature towered over toxic and looked him in the eyes, toxic panicked, trying to break free. The creature smoothly flew around in circles above him, the black liquid dripping from it. The red eyes remained on toxic. Something haunting and evil around them. "You could've saved him" Something whispered in toxics right ear. "They wouldn't be dead, you poor thing, all alone. Watch how you become the most unimportant wolf here, your purpose is done toxic. Your promise is broken, let go already, your friends and family are gone. They have been consumed, they aren't coming back" The whispers grew louder.
Toxic wiggled, trying to break free from the vines wrapped around his snount and limbs. "Oh toxic, look at you, a joke of a wolf. You could've been something great. Notice how you've fallen so deeply into this? Toxic. Your gone to them, you are nobody to them besides a waste of space in the corner of camp." The whisper laughed in toxics ears. Toxic tried to break free again, he failed. Soon enough, the dark creature above him slammed on top of him and consumed him.
Toxic woke up out of his nightmare, his head jolting up and tears running down his face. His fur drenched in sweat as he grew dizzy. Toxic stood up for a second and wobbled over to a bush. Toxic threw up before popping back into the ground, he couldn't talk, it was too quiet.
