From the car, you could see the pretty trees passing by and the bright sun shining. The girl with short black hair leaned out the window to get a better look. Meanwhile, the boy with black hair next to her was busy on his phone.
"We're almost at our destination, Hoshino-san," the driver said, glancing at the girl and the boy through the rearview mirror.
"Hmmm," muttered the boy with black hair, glancing at the girl beside him who was still looking at the view.
"It will be okay," the boy reassured, his gaze still on the girl beside him.
"Yeah, I hope so," the girl murmured, her eyes fixed on the window.
The journey continued until they finally arrived at their destination. It was evening now, with the sun halfway down the sky.
The car pulled up in front of a modest-looking house. They took out their suitcases from the car, placing them on the front porch as they prepared to say goodbye to the driver.
"I'll be heading back now. I hope things get easier for you two," the driver said softly, bowing down slightly.
"Thank you for the ride Sasaki-san. Be careful on your way back." The black haired girl softly smiled, slightly bowed down as well.
"Take care, Sasaki-san," the black-haired guy said with a smile, also bowing respectfully.
After their goodbyes, Sasaki got back into his car and left the place. The girl sighed as she picked up her suitcase and headed towards the house.
"C'mon, Ren," she exclaimed, opening the door to the house and stepping inside slowly.
"Yeah, coming!" Ren exclaimed, grabbing his suitcase and entering the house, closing the main door behind him.
Inside, the house was in good condition. It was medium-sized, which was plenty of space for the two siblings. They each placed their suitcases in their respective rooms where they would be staying.
"Ayane, I'm hungry!! Let's go out and eat something!!" Ren exclaimed as he barged into her room.
"Mhmm, sure," the girl mumbled, putting her clothes in the wardrobe.
The two decided to treat themselves to some delicious food, as both were tired from the ride. After locking the house and gates, they strolled around the local area, looking for a nice place to eat.
As they walked around, they couldn't help but notice some strange writings on the walls, which were difficult to read in the dim light of night.
Ayane's povWe strolled around for a while, looking for a cozy place to eat. Many shops were still open, but the street was quieter than when we had driven by earlier. It seemed like a nice place to live, though this wasn't what the area was known for.
"Hey, that café looks nice. Let's go there!" Ren exclaimed, pointing towards it. Before I could say anything, he grabbed my hand and started pulling me towards the café.
"Hey!! I can walk by myself!!" I yelled. But it was too late; we were already entering the café.
"Ohh, welcome!" A brown-haired girl at the counter greeted us.
"Hey there! How are we doing?" Ren said with a meek smile as he sat in a chair right in front of her. I looked around the café; it seemed like a good hangout spot, but it was empty at the moment. I sat down beside Ren, making myself comfortable in my seat.
"Hmm, good. What can I help you guys with?" the girl asked with a smile, pushing the menu towards us.
"I'll take the omu-rice," Ren exclaimed, setting aside the menu and leaning forward. "Same here, and I'll also have a cup of coffee, please," I said, still scanning the menu and reading the food items listed.
"Coming right up," the girl smiled as she started to cook.
"Hey, what's your name?" Ren asked, watching the brown-haired girl.
"You first," she mumbled, flipping the omelette.
"I'm Ren Hoshino and this is my sister Ayane Hoshino. Now, what's your name, hmm?" Ren laughed slightly, leaning back in his chair.
"Name's Tachibana Kotoha. I haven't seen you two here before. Are you new?" Kotoha asked, bringing us two plates of nicely served omu-rice. She set the plates down in front of us and went to get the coffee.
"That's right, we just arrived this evening," I mumbled, taking a bite from my plate. 'D-delicious!' I thought to myself, eagerly taking another spoonful.
"Oh, so are you guys going to stay in this town now?" Kotoha asked, placing my cup of coffee in front of me.
"Yeah, that's right," Ren smiled, locking eyes with Kotoha.
"So, which school are you going to attend?" Kotoha asked, leaning on the counter.
"Furin High School," I mumbled, taking a sip of my coffee.
"Ehh! Furin High? Do you even know what you're getting yourselves into?" Kotoha exclaimed, tilting her head in surprise.
"Mhmm, don't worry, we know," Ren reassured her with a smile. Kotoha slightly pursed her lips, probably still worried about us.
After a while of talking and eating, we got to know each other even more. We finished our food, and as we were leaving, Kotoha ran over and asked for our contact numbers. We exchanged numbers and said our goodbyes. Long story short, after that, we went home and slept.

Our morning routine always consists of Ayane making us breakfast while I clean up the house. It’s our usual daily task. I cleaned the floor and the windows, and I could smell some delicious food being made in the kitchen.
We ate our breakfast and then cleaned up the dishes and the dining table. With nothing planned for the entire day, we decided to explore the town and maybe even visit Kotoha. School starts tomorrow, so we would be busy from then on.
The atmosphere in this area seemed more lively and cheerful in the morning. Shopkeepers were calling out to customers to buy their foods, kids were running around, and older women were chatting on the side. Everything looked so peaceful.
"Let's go visit Kotoha now!" I smiled, looking at my sister who was taking in the environment.
"Hmm, looks like you're quite fond of her," she smirked in response.
"S-she's just a friend!" I exclaimed, feeling my face flush with embarrassment.
"I meant as a friend too, what did you thought hmm~??" She continued to smirk, teasing me. "You-!!" I started to yell at her but stopped abruptly. Several guys were pinning someone in the corner, and that someone was none other than Kotoha!!
I could hear Kotoha mentioning wanting to smack their heads with the eggs in her bag, which only provoked those shameless guys into smirking and laughing at her. I was about to rush over and beat the shit out of them, but my sister beat me to it.
Ayane rushed towards the scene, but before she could say anything, another guy intervened. He had dual-colored hair that looked damn cool to me. While I was admiring his hair, I noticed he had already started fighting with the guys.
Not long after, all those shameless guys were lying on the floor. 'Woah!! That was damn impressive!' I thought to myself, watching the dual-haired guy who also had two different eye colors in each eye.
"Are you okay?" Ayane asked, placing her hand on Kotoha's shoulder.
"Umm yeah" Kotoha smiled back at her.
"Remember my name and face," the dual-haired guy mumbled, gripping the collar of the unconscious delinquent. "I am Haruka Sakura from Furin High," he smirked.
'Haruka Sakura, huh...' A grin spread across my face.
