Dad exhaled roughly, trying to control his emotions which were almost out of control. Throwing his body onto the mattress available in his office, he sat down while massaging his forehead which felt dizzy.
He remembered again when Aluna cried loudly in front of him, which implied the big wound in her heart.
Flashback on....
"Forgive your Dad, son..."
"Sorry..." dad kept begging Aluna for forgiveness half-kneeling.
"Sob..." Aluna burst into tears, then bent down, hugging her father's large body. Crying hard.
"A, Aluna thinks Dad hates Aluna. Why does Dad always act cold and indifferent as if he doesn't care about Aluna?" Aluna continued to express all the contents of her heart that she had been holding back.
"Why does Dad always make Aluna misunderstand Dad, thinking that Dad hates Aluna? Why does Dad make Aluna feel guilty and expect more from Dad? Why?" Aluna's cries grew louder in her father's arms, hitting her father's broad chest again. The father could only remain silent as he continued to hug his daughter's small body and sobbed when he heard questions from his daughter that he couldn't answer.
"I, I'm sorry, my daughter..."
"Dad did something wrong to you..." said Father in a hoarse voice as he continued to apologize to Aluna. Aluna, who was still sobbing in her father's arms, looked at her father's face, which was as wet as hers.
"Aluna is the one who should apologize to Dad, because done misunderstood and hated Dad for no reason. Even though Dad really loves Aluna, and Aluna stupidly believed Alana's words that Dad hated Aluna, because Aluna was just an insignificant figure and shadow of Alana. " Aluna shook her head, not blaming her father. She even blamed himself, because she felt she was stupid and a coward, making things difficult for his father, who had loved him for a long time.
"No, Aluna. You didn't do anything wrong, Aluna. Don't keep blaming yourself, kid." Father shook his head, gently touched his daughter's cheeks which were starting to turn red, not wanting to make her daughter blame herself.
"But, Mom said--"
"Aluna!" interrupted the father while looking seriously at his daughter's clear black eyes which were similar to him, feeling annoyed. Aluna fell silent and looked back at the eyes that were similar to hers.
"Please don't blame yourself and don't listen to what Alana or your Mom, Aluna, says." The father said, feeling hurt when he saw his daughter's face which continued to show fear when she said the word 'Mother' which shouldn't be scary. Then he hugged Aluna's small body tightly again. Aluna nodded slowly in her father's warm embrace, answering. "Okay, Dad. Aluna just follow what Dad says, from now on." Aluna answered while chiming in.
"No! That's not what Dad meant, son. You can trust Dad, but you can't depend on and obey everything Dad says. Because you are you, not an errand girl, Aluna." Father shook his head quickly, then gripped his daughter's shoulder tightly, trying to make Aluna aware that Aluna was not a shadow or an errand girl who had to follow his master like a loyal dog. Aluna gasped slightly in surprise because her father suddenly grabbed her shoulder.
"Ah! Sorry, Dad didn't mean to, son. Does it hurt?" dad stammered, apologized, and also asked worriedly if he had hurt Aluna's small body. Aluna, who had been gloomy and crying, finally burst out laughing.
"Ha ha ha!" Aluna laughed out loud, making her face red and her eyes watery. The father, who was a little confused about why his daughter was laughing, could only smile faintly. Happy because her daughter was laughing freely again without being forced like before.
"Ah! Sorry, Dad. Aluna shouldn't be laughing that hard, right? Hihihi..." Aluna apologized to her father while still laughing lightly. Dad just nodded, ruffled his daughter's blackish brown hair, and laughed happily.
Flashback off....
"Hahah..." father laughed amusedly as he recalled his childish and embarrassing behavior in front of his beloved eldest daughter but also felt relieved because he had made up without any more misunderstandings towards his daughter, gently stroking her jet black hair. Sit on the small mattress available in his office.
I hope Aluna is happy for the future. And I hope that Alana and Sera will repent and make peace with Aluna, so that my family will be complete and harmonious like the families of other normal people. Father praying in heart. Hoping that his complete family will become truly intact without any grudges, hatred and envy, that it will become a harmonious and beautiful family like other normal families.
