Krish's heart sank as he checked the time on his phone. "Oh shit, the cake! We need to pick it up," he exclaimed, his voice tinged with panic.

Darsh raised an eyebrow, a frown creasing his forehead. "Can't they just deliver it here?"

Krish glanced around the room, hoping someone would volunteer. "Who's going to go and get it?"

"Not me," Darsh replied quickly, shaking his head.

"Tereko koi bhej bhi nahi raha tha," Shruti chimed in with a smirk.

"Chup kar!" Darsh shot back at Shruti.

"Tu chup kar!" Shruti retorted, not backing down.

Vihaan's commanding voice cut through their escalating bickering. "Both of you, behave."

Krish looked relieved as Vihaan stepped in.

"I can go. Just send me the address, Krish," Vihaan offered, his tone decisive and calm.

Krish hesitated, considering the logistics. "But how will you manage it alone? And what if something happens? The cake is quite delicate, with intricate designs."

Before Vihaan could respond, an unexpected voice piped up. "I can go!"

All eyes turned towards Kanak, her presence suddenly asserting itself.

Some in the room secretly referred to her as "Kalank," a nickname born from unspoken tensions.

"Agye kbab mai haddi". Akul whispered to Suhani who frowned not getting what is he saying.

Krish considered the situation, weighing his options. "Actually, Kanak- I mean, it might be better if Ayesha goes with Vihaan."

Kanak's eyes narrowed, a hint of challenge in her voice. "Oh, really? Is that because Ayesha needs the practice with delicate things, or are you just trying to make her feel important?"

Ayesha, already irritated by Kanak's closeness to Vihaan, shot back with cold precision.

"Handling delicate things isn't my problem, unlike someone here who turns everything into a drama."

The room fell silent, Kanak visibly taken aback by Ayesha's sharp retort.

Vihaan stepped in, his tone firm. "Enough, Kanak. Ayesha will come with me. Let's keep things simple."

Shruti and Darsh exchanged surprised glances, impressed by Ayesha's unexpected assertiveness. Krish stifled a grin, recognizing Ayesha's boldness.

Kanak, wounded in pride, simmered with anger but held her tongue.

As Vihaan and Ayesha prepared to leave, the tension between them hung palpably in the air. Ashish watched Ayesha with a proud smile, while Vihaan's conflicted emotions remained veiled.
