Chapter 1

Chapter 1 - Commotion

Natapos na ang third period class namin pero hindi pa rin bumabalik yung seatmate ko. I wonder what happened to him.

The bell has rung, likely indicating the lunch break. As a result, my other classmates are starting to go outside.

My phone, which was hidden in my pants pocket, suddenly vibrated, indicating that I had received a message. So I checked to see who it was.

From Rowan:

I'm not at school today because I had to go to your mom's house; she had an asthma attack. Don't worry, though, there are still bodyguards around you, but please stay cautious.

To Rowan:

Is she okay? What is her condition now?

From Rowan:

She is fine now, but I can't leave her because we don't know what might happen.

To Rowan:

I see. Take care of her well.

From Rowan:

Don't worry, I will.

"Can we also go out now, Mr. Yebes?"
napaangat ang ulo ko sa gulat sa boses ng taong nakatayo sa tabi ko.

Si Mr. Navel pala. Yung student council president ng BOYS organization.

"Sure" mabilis kong isinuot ang bag ko at sinundan siya palabas.

"Where are we going now?" ang bilis naman niya mag-lakad. Yung tipong dalawang steps sa akin pero isa lang sa kaniya. Paano ba naman kasi ang hahaba ng mga biyas niya.

"Obviously, we're going to the canteen because we're going to eat first. Unless you want me to give you a tour while you're hungry? Do you want that?" nakataas pa ang isa niyang kilay habang tinatanong sa akin 'yan. Sus ang sungit talaga.

"N-No." sagot ko.

"Good." pagka-sabi niya nun ay mas lalong bumilis ang mga steps niya.

Pagkababa namin sa pinaka-last na stairs ng building ay may mga nakasalubong kami na dalawang girls. As in GIRLS, naka-palda, naglalakad sa hallway sa kung saan kami dumadaan.

"Hold on, I thought this was a BOYS school. Why are there girls here?" tanong ko sa kasama ko.

"I'll answer that later while we are eating. Stop asking questions; I’m hungry." iritadong sagot niya.

"Fine." usal ko pagkatapos mag-buntong hininga ng malalim.

Upon entering the canteen, I didn’t just see two girls but many, all mixed together. The canteen was very crowded during lunch break. Some people were even lined up at the food counters.

Nagtaka ako sa kasama ko at sa ibang direction siya pumunta imbes na pumila.

"Wait, isn’t the line over there? Where are you going?"

"Can you please shut up for a second and just follow me?" iritado na talaga siya kaya sinundan ko nalang.

Kumuha siya ng lalagyan ng pagkain sa counter kung saan wala masyadong naka-pila. Inabot niya sa akin yung isa na siya namang kinuha ko. I was surprised at how quickly he finished getting the food. The woman serving him kept giving him large amounts with each scoop.
