Dixie-
Every once in a while, the two of you would talk about the book you were reading, and eventually, you began to ask more questions about each other. She came to value your kindness and friendship and found herself wanting to talk to you more often.
Isis-
She would tell you tales of her life before she died, and eventually, you told her yours, and the two of you became close. Once she found out that you were a writer, she would ask questions about whatever book you were writing.
Gonner-
You bumped into him again somehow, and you ended up laughing about it. Before he could leave again, you exchanged names and asked to see him again, and eventually, he would visit you every night. He found you funny and wanted to talk to you more often.
Piroska-
She thought she was alone in the cemetery, and you ended up comforting her after realizing how Gonner had rejected her. She was angry that you were there at first but was grateful afterward.
Nebulosa-
She eventually released you from her prison but was keeping an eye on you and trying to get answers as to why you were there. Eventually, someone tried to attack her, and you ended up defending her, causing her to start to believe your story of getting lost; over time, you got closer.
