"So that'll be just one of these pills every day, followed by no eating or drinking for 30 minutes. You'll be able to pick up a new prescription at any time with this note."
He passed over a small piece of paper and bag of pills to the middle aged man across him, who pocketed both items as if they were gold. He was a stern man with a permanent frown on his face,
"And the price?"
"Trust me, no cost today."
"What? Is this some kind of trick or the sorts?"
"Not at all sir."
"Say, aren't you a little young to be working here? Is there anyone else I can see-"
He was cut short when the god flicked his hand at him. The mortal fell unconscious, but woke up after just a few short seconds. There was a smile on his face.
"Thanks doc, I'm sure I'll be feeling better in no time!"
And he jumped out of his seat, merrily skipping out the room. The god sighed, rubbing his head. Poking his head out of the room and looking into the waiting room, the place was empty. He'd been dishing out his services to people of all issues for so long he'd lost track of time. It felt nice to finally be able to help people, not just be another spectator on the sideline. Slipping through the reception, he pushed open the spiral doors and was greeted by the cold night air.
He stretched his arms out wide, his limbs popping in certain areas. He pushed his hand through his hair, ruffling the style a little. With a snap of his fingers, his doctors scrubs and cap vanished, replaced with a suit. Black blazer and tie with a white shirt, neat and polished shoes and of course, both his wrists had the bracelets wrapped around them. He would never take those bracelets off. A suit wasn't what he usually wore, but he was on his way to a special event.
Just as he was about to take off, he heard something. A scream. To be more specific, a woman's scream. Twisting his head like an owl, he located the noise to an alley way around the hospital. Unfortunately it was probably the right thing to check it out.
Walking over to the alley, the cries only got louder. He quickened his pace until he arrived at the entrance of the alley. It was repulsive, open trash and vomit and faeces everywhere. How this place was so unhygienic right next to a place of healing was questionable.
"Are you okay there ma'am?"
No response for a moment, but then he heard a muffled yell. Something was a hundred percent not right. Creeping in, he snuck down the dingy brick alley. He couldn't over-exaggerate just how much this place reeked.
After a solid minute of sneaking, he finally saw the source of the cries. A young woman, probably around the age of 17 was being held by an older man by the throat with a broken bottle. A tough situation, but it's not like he hadn't been inside and fought his way out of the Hermes cabin before without keeping all his possessions.
If anything, he could use this moment as practice. He still had to lots to learn about the power of being a god, even if he had studied them for thousands of years.
Sliding down behind a trash bin, he squeezed his hand into a fist, he manipulated the mist around him to cover his form. When he unclenched his fist, he looked down to see... well not exactly the intended result. He still looked 16, so his plan was to age himself up a little. He had aged up through the mist, but now he was a little... different.
Instead of his usual, no product hair, he now had a glossy head of raven black hair. His waist was slimmed down, nose shrank and eyes became more rounded and open. There was also a weird weight on his chest.
