Simula

Marrying the man she loves with all her heart was supposed to be a dream come true, but knowing that Kathlyn had to break another woman's heart made her wedding day feel like a total nightmare. 

Kathlyn stared blankly at her bouquet of flowers while she's waiting in front of the church. Her tears kept blurring her eyes not because of happiness. Ngunit dahil alam niyang galit sa kanya ang taong pakakasalan niya ngayong araw. 

"Kathlyn, are you alright?" tanong ng wedding coordinator na kinuha ng kanyang ama para sa kasal nila ni Rancho.

She tried her best to smile. "Y-Yes po."

Tumango ito saka na kinausap ang dalawang staff na magbubukas ng pinto. Nilunok naman ni Kathlyn ang namumuong bara sa kanyang lalamunan saka siya umayos ng tindig.

The door opened and a romantic song played in the background as she took her slow steps. There are a lot of familiar faces in the crowd. Some were teary-eyed, while some seemed happy to witness this supposed to be the happiest day of her life. 

Pinangarap niya ito, hindi ba? Pinangarap niyang makaisang dibdib ang lalakeng palihim niyang minamahal magmula pa noon. Ngunit hindi sa ganitong paraan niya ginustong makuha si Rancho. 

"Smile, Kathlyn. This is your big day," her dad whispered.

Pinilit na lamang niyang ngumiti sa ama saka niya iniangkla ang kanyang braso sa braso nito. Her eyes met her groom's. Rancho was standing beside his brother, Rimael. Nanlilisik sa kanya ang namumulang mga mata. Even his jaw was clenching as if he was already murdering her in his mind so he could finally run back to his true love. 

Siguro kung gagawin ni Rancho iyon ay hindi siya manlalaban. She stole him from the woman he truly loves. Rancho and Demi lost their baby because of her. Nasa lupa pa lamang siya ay alam na niyang sinusunog na ang kaluluwa niya sa impyerno.

Kathlyn dodged Rancho's gaze. Inilipat niya ang kanyang tingin sa imahe ng poon na nasa pinakaharap ng simbahan. Her heart swelled as she asked God for forgiveness. Nag-unahan ang kanyang mga luha sa pagpatak habang nagmamakaawa sa Panginoon na gabayan siya at patawarin siya.

She lived her life according to what her father wanted. They always praise her for being a good girl. Doesn't smoke, doesn't drink, she doesn't even have a lot of friends who might influence her to not rely on her father all the time. 

She's an achiever in school, graduated as Magna Cum Laude, and never dated anyone nor entertained suitors because her dad only wants her to marry a Santi Vlanco. 

She's the perfect daughter, they said, but definitely not the happiest . . .

Rancho clenched his jaw as soon as Kathlyn's dad gave her hand to him. Naupo sila sa harap ng altar na parehong nasasaktan. Puno ng galit ang mga mata ni Rancho habang dinudurog naman ang puso niya. 

"If anyone has any objections about this wedding, speak now . . ." Tinitigan siya ng pari. "Or forever hold your peace."

Kathlyn bowed her head as she pursed her lips to prevent her sobs. Kitang-kita niya kung papaanong kumuyom ang mga kamao ni Rancho habang nababalot ng katahimikan ang buong simbahan.

A part of her wishes that Rancho would just stand up and stop the wedding because she couldn't do it for the both of them. She couldn't do it no matter how much she wanted to free him from this mess and just hope that someday, he's going to love her back without anyone forcing him.

But Rancho didn't. He kept his mouth shut and let his heart break as he allowed the ceremony to happen. Even his vows sounded painful, as if all the words that came out of his mouth were meant for someone else. 

"You may now kiss the bride," the priest announced.

Everyone cheered except for the newly-weds. Panay ang pagtulo ng mga luha ni Kathlyn habang iniaangat ni Rancho ang veil. His bloodshot eyes narrowed at her as soon as he saw her tears. Muntik siyang humikbi kasabay ng pagguhit ng pagsisisi sa kanyang mga mata ngunit sinuklian lamang iyon ni Rancho ng galit na titig.

'I'm sorry . . .' she mouthed.

Rancho tightened his jaw before he cupped her cheek and kissed her on her lips. It was supposed to feel magical, but all Kathlyn felt was immense remorse and heartache. 

They were pronounced as husband and wife, took their wedding photos against their will, and headed to the reception to mourn for their hearts. Nagpakalasing nang husto si Rancho kaya noong oras na para magtungo sila sa kanilang hotel room ay ramdam na ramdam na ni Kathlyn kung gaano katindi ang galit nito sa kanya. 

"Strip," he said in a cold way while he's removing his bow tie and undoing his buttons. 

Kathlyn felt a cold rush trail down her spine. "W-We don't have to do it--"

"You wanted to marry me, hmm? You were desperate to make me your husband? Now let's consummate this fucking marriage." Dinampot nitong muli ang bote ng alak at tinungga iyon. "Strip and lay on the bed like a whore you wanna be just to have me."

Tumalikod na lamang siya rito't hinayaan ang kanyang mga luhang umagos. She pursed her lips as she slowly removed her clothes. She deserves this treatment. She took him away from the woman he truly loves. 

Kathlyn took off everything before she sat on the bed naked. Iniwasan niya ang titig ni Rancho. Her breathing became sharp as her heart pounded hardly inside her chest. 

Rancho took his steps towards her. His hand caressed her cheek and traveled to the back of her head. Maya-maya ay tuluyan nitong sinabunutan ang kanyang buhok para patingalain siya. 

"You think you're gonna be happy with me?" Rancho's eyes flickered with both pain and anger. "You're gonna regret forcing yourself to me, Kathlyn. Sooner or later, I'm gonna make sure that you'll be the one begging for a fucking annulment."

Halos mahigit niya ang kanyang hininga nang sunggaban nito ang kanyang mga labi. His kisses were rough and ruthless as if he doesn't care if her lips would bleed. 

He pushed her to the bed, parted her thighs, and ripped her without a warning. Napaiyak na lamang siya nang madama ang matinding sakit. Rancho sucked her skin on her neck while he's thrusting in and out of her, not giving a damn about her pain even when he knew that this is her first time. 

Rancho grunted. He squeezed her right boob as he kissed her neck in a rough way. Tila nais siyang saktan nang maramdaman niya kung gaano siyang kinamumuhian ng asawa. She tried to enjoy it but she couldn't. Lumalamang ang sakit na nararamdaman niya. Sumasabay pa ang sakit na bumabalot sa kanyang puso. 

"D-Demi . . ." he called as he reached his climax.

Napaluha na lamang si Kathlyn. Her heart sunk and her eyes blankly stared at the ceiling as Rancho pulled his shaft out of her bleeding hole. Tumayo ito at dumiretso sa banyo na parang walang nangyari habang naiwan siya sa kama. Luhaan at nanginginig ang ibabang labi. 

Kathlyn turned to the side and hugged herself as she sobbed. He fucked her while thinking of his ex just so he could finish. He fucked her while Demi is the one occupying his heart and mind.

Napahikbi na lamang siya sa reyalisasyon. 

Her husband doesn't love her . . . and she doesn't think he'd ever will . . .
