(The Girl That You What?)
Rain stood under the showerhead, hoping the running water could wash her shame and humiliation away.
She found herself tucked in the sheets of Mark's bed when she woke up this morning, a water bottle rested on the nightstand, next to it was a yellow sticky note, 'drink this when you wake up, your head will hurt' it said, and her head was actually throbing, she had drunk a lot of whiskey the night before, and she hated whiskey. She didn't know how Mark liked it.
She rolled herself in a towel, standing face to face with the assassin's closet, now there was a whole area filled with woman clothes, the things he had secretly bought that day when they went to the mall, she looked around, huffing in exasperation, none of the shirts would help cover her neck.
So she decided to go with comfy pants and a grey croptop, she was too embarassed to even wear something from Mark's side, because just hours ago, she had wailed to him about him not loving her, thankfully he didn't even consider himself to be that man, since he looked so clueless.
She applied some makeup on her face, hoping the concealer would hide how puffy her eyes were.
It's like she had finally realized the madness she had gone into the two past days, she sat on the edge of the bed, thinking about last night's conversation with Mark, she wasn't drunk enough to forget everything. She wished she was.
"I literally jumped on him... I bet he hates me now" she mumbled.
Just then the door opened slowly, and Mark peaked his head inside, his eyes widening in relief when he saw that she was awake and alright.
"Good morning" he said as he walked towards her, stopping in his tracks suddenly, as if he wasn't sure if he could come near her.
"Good morning to you too, just come closer... I'm fine I swear" she said. Mark silently stretched his hand to her, and she looked at him for a second before intertwining her hand with his, and they walked downstairs hand in hand.
"I ordered some porridge for you, it's good for hangovers" he told her, as he passed her a bowl of the warm soup, she immediately filled a spoon and stuck it in her mouth, and Mark just stared at her, his eyes not leaving hers as she ate the whole thing.
Rain hoped he would say something, but he didn't, and her bowl was already empty, so she gathered all her courage to speak "I'm sorry for yesterday, I mean it really, everything I did was wrong and I- I'm awful, please frogive me" she said, her eyes darting away from his.
"Nothing you do could ever be wrong in my eyes, Rain. I'm sorry for getting mad, I didn't get mad at you, it's just that the thought of someone hurting you makes me lose my control" he mumbled, showing her a reassuring smile.
"I thought you were still mad at me because you weren't in the room when I woke up" Rain mumbled, a saddened pout curved on her lips, and she unintentionally looked at Mark with those eyes that made him feel like he was on cloud nine.
"I received a box of things I had ordered, and had to put it in my apartment myself, I'll show you later" he told her, Rain couldn't help but feel relaxed, all her worries melting away at Mark's cool reaction, he was acting as if the crazy things she did didn't bother him at all.
"So are we still friends? You don't hate me?" she asked him.
"How could I ever hate you dove?" he said, and the loud screeching of the stool against the floor radiated trough the kitchen walls, as Rain pushed herself on her feet and went to him, burrying her head in his chest, he didn't waste a second to hug her into his arms, his face pressed against her hair, while his fingers worked on massaging softly through her scalp.
