"I need your help" derek said slowly, choosing his words carefully. "The pack and I have been tracking some witches in the woods" "derek I'm human I can't help you track witches" stiles shouted derek stared at stiles in frustration can't or won't" he shot back unable to keep the irritation out of his voice. "you've been resourceful and clever before and I know you can help us if you want to" he continued his tone tinged with a hint of pleading "you're more than just human fragility" stiles walked out of his room and into his bathroom locking himself inside, derek heard stiles' footsteps and the bathroom door slamming shut frustration and annoyance coursed through his veins he stood there for a moment, unsure of what to do next. derek thought about breaking the door down and fore stiles to listen in the end derek chose to wait outside the door for stiles. leaning against the wall outside the bathroom his thoughts swirling with confusion and frustration
stiles was going to leave the bathroom but he stopped himself knowing derek would be waiting outside the door, so he got in the shower, Stiles let the warm water cascade over his body. The sound of the shower providing a brief respite from the chaos that had erupted earlier He replayed the confrontation with Derek in his mind, the heat of his own emotions coursing through him like fire. Meanwhile outside the bathroom door, Derek remained leaning against the wall. His ears caught the sounds of the running water and the occasional movement, hinting that Stiles was still inside
Stiles walked out the bathroom with a towel wrapped around his waist walked to his room slamming the door in Derek's face, Derek blinked in surprise as the door slammed in his face. He took a step back, staring at the closed door in confusion and mild disbelief. He could hear the sound of Stiles rummaging around in his room, and the faint hum of frustration in Stiles' voice as he muttered to himself.
Derek took a deep breath, trying to process what had just happened. He had come here with a simple request, seeking Stiles's help and instead they had ended up arguing and slamming doors in each other's faces. Derek opened the door to find stiles digging through his dresser for a change of clothes Derek quietly entered the room, his eyes immediately drawn to Stiles rummaging through his dresser. He stood there for a moment, watching Stiles' frustrated movements as he searched for a change of clothes. It was an ironic sight, seeing someone who could be so composed and confident one moment reduced to a flurry of disorganization.
Stiles looked up "what" he said in almost the same way a wolf would growl Derek couldn't help but chuckle at the similarity in Stiles' tone to that of a wolf's growl. He leaned against the door frame; his arms crossed over his chest. "Just admiring your disheveled state," he replied, a smirk playing at the corners of his lips. Stiles looked derek starting to smile "Aw do you like it when I'm frustrated" he said bating his eyes at Derek.
Derek grinned, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "Maybe I do," he replied, playing along with Stiles' teasing. "There's something endearing about the way you ruffle your hair when you're angry," he said, his gaze drifting to Stiles' hair, which was adorably messy. Stiles nodded his head slightly beginning to ramble to himself, Derek just listened intently to Stiles' rambling, finding it oddly endearing. There was something about the way Stiles' brain worked, the rapid flow of thoughts and ideas, that he couldn't help but find captivating. He couldn't decipher every single word, but the enthusiasm and passion behind them were clear. It was like Stiles' brain was a chaotic storm, one that Derek couldn't help but be drawn to.
Derek watched stiles with curious eyes as he talked "Look at him" stiles said randomly "No he's fine" he responded to himself "But he's looking at you like you're mad" it was like stiles was having a conversation with himself "could you stop watching" stiles asked looking at derek, Derek blinked realizing he had been caught in the act of watching Stiles closely. "Sorry" he replied sheepishly hint of a flush creeping up his cheeks. "I couldn't help it You're fascinating when you ramble. It's like a glimpse into your mind and I can't look away." Stiles was taken aback at hearing Derek apologizing.
