I woke up suddenly to the blaring of my 6:45 AM alarm. In my groggy state, I realized I should have gone to bed earlier, but I just couldn't resist staying up to watch Love Island. The show has a captivating hold on me.

To kickstart my morning, I indulged in a refreshing shower while blasting Jhene Aiko's music. The invigorating shower coupled with the soulful tunes put me in an upbeat mood as I readied myself for my first day at the academy. The most challenging part of my morning routine was deciding what to wear. It felt like a mental workout, but I eventually settled on a stylish yet relaxed ensemble: a cropped white shirt, baggy jeans, and a pink cardigan, complemented by my favorite pink knu skool vans.

I instinctively reached for my phone to capture the moment. "I'm so mf girlalalala!" I thought with a burst of enthusiasm. After filling my large Marc Jacobs tote with all my essentials - lipgloss, lip liner, Aquaphor, iPad, notebooks, MacBook, pens, and hair clips - I was fully prepared for the day.

Before leaving, I grabbed my water bottle and made my way to the school. The walk from the dorm room to the school was quite a distance, taking at least 20 minutes. Instead of walking, I decided to drive. As I pulled into the school parking lot, I couldn't help but hope that the day ahead would unfold smoothly.

As I timidly entered the classroom, the chatter and laughter instantly died down, and all eyes turned to me. The professor was nowhere to be seen, and I felt like an intruder in a room full of strangers. "Uh... Hello," I stammered awkwardly from the doorway.

A girl with vibrant pink hair caught my attention. "Hi! You're so pretty," she exclaimed. Flustered, I thanked her and quickly made my way to the nearest empty desk. "Come sit over here. We don't bite," she joked, motioning for me to join her. As I nervously followed her, I couldn't help but feel overwhelmed by the entire situation.

As the stranger with pink hair looked at me, a playful smile crossed their face. "So what's your name, pinky pie?" they asked. I couldn't help but think that "pinky pie" sounded more fitting for her. "Layla Morgan," I replied, trying not to let their nickname for me bother me. "And what are y'all names if y'all don't mind me asking? That is."

The girl with black hair didn't seem to mind at all. "Oh of course not!" she said cheerfully. "I'm Mina Ashido!" Just as I got used to Mina's name, another girl spoke up. "I'm Yaoyorozu Momo, you can call me Momo, though. And the one over there is Kyoka Jiro." Jiro glanced up from her phone and greeted me with a small smile. She seemed genuinely friendly.

"I'm Ochaco Uraraka," said another girl, with a bright and bubbly tone. "My name is Tsuyu Asui," the girl with a calm demeanor added, "but my friends call me Tsu." Finally, a cheerful voice piped up from seemingly thin air, "And I'm Toru Hagakure."
