Chapter 14: Back to the Doctor's

It was quite early in the morning, Poppy was scrapbooking since this was the most free time she had in a while. Her schedule was always so busy and with some recent events and revelations, she needed a stress reliever. What she was making though was a simple storybook for her future niece that she could read the troll-ling. She was so very excited that John Dory was having a baby girl that she accidentally cut too much off on a piece of felt and had to start over. That's when her ears twitched from hearing something outside her door. It sounded like shuffling of feet. She waited a moment but when it continued, she got up to investigate.

"Who is it?" The pink troll called as she opened the door to reveal... "John?" He looked slightly more tired than yesterday which concerned her. She then ushered him in before quickly forcing him onto a seat followed by putting a blanket over his shoulders and handing him a small cup of warm milk which she flawlessly made within seconds.

John was impressed with how quick the girl was as he sipped on the drink that was provided to him. It tasted a little sweet but it was good nonetheless. "Thank you." He smiled a little warmly at her, proud that Branch had such a caring and kind girlfriend.

"You're welcome." Poppy smiled back as she patted John's shoulder a bit, visibly seeing him relax further before she asked, "What's wrong? Are you okay?"

"No... I haven't been sleeping well..." John nervously tapped his fingers against the cup when he asked, "...and I was hoping you would go with me to see Dr. Moonbloom." He was worried she wouldn't be able to go with him and he didn't want to disrupt her peace or plans if she had any but he just needed someone, anyone to rely on at the moment. He could have gotten maybe one of his brother's but the topic he was on about was sensitive to him and he didn't want them to hear.

"Aww, John. Of course I will! It's going to be okay. When did you want to go?" Poppy asked while she patted his back, reassuring and giving him a hug which he returned back happily.

"I'd like to go now but if you're busy, we can go later when you get free time." John felt it was best to go as soon as possible to get it over with but understood if she couldn't do it right away.

"Sure, let me just clean up real quick and we can go." Poppy smiled as she picked up and put away all her scrapbook stuff while John sipped on his drink. Once he was done she took the cup and placed it into the sink while he folded and placed the blanket back on her bed.

Poppy linked her arm with his as the two of them exited the pod.

"So, you want to unpack?" She patted his arm gently while asking because it seemed like he had something on his mind.

"Hmm... well... Let me start by telling the truth since you already know that something is happening between me and Creek but... I lied and marked him off the list so Branch didn't murder him." Yea, he started off with that.

"No... really??" She gasped as she covered her mouth because she now regretted what she said to Creek yesterday. She hoped he didn't take what she said to heart but he never said anything to indicate that he had. Maybe it was fine? Probably. She shook the thoughts away when she approved of what John did. "That was definitely for the best."

"Yea, Branch was going cuckoo so I had no choice." John sighed before he started getting to the point of his whole dilemma. "So, the reason I want to see Dr. Moonbloom is because I keep making this whining sound and missing my partner which is why I'm not sleeping at night. Sometimes I make the sound around Creek and he doesn't like it but the last time he hugged me and told me I'd find my partner. I believe he thinks he truly isn't the father and that im making that noise for someone else. If that's true, then maybe he really isn't the dad... but, do you think he'd want to date me knowing I'm pregnant to another troll??" He lowered his ears a bit as to how crazy it all sounded.
