"You wear glasses?" A puzzled Kirishima asked, breaking Claudia's trance. A pair of black-rimmed glasses adorned her features, framing her ocean-toned eyes and accentuating her olive skin. Her cheeks flushed red as she pushed the frames from sliding further down her angled nose. "I usually wear contacts, but I woke up too late," She bashfully admitted. The two moved down the lunch line, acquiring the food for that afternoon. "Guys, did you know Claude wears glasses?" Kirishima asked showing off his discovery to the table. Jirou pointed one of her earpieces to the girl. "Yeah, we all saw her this morning." The entire table broke into laughter, except a certain blonde. "So you're a four eyes too? The jokes just seem to write themselves," He muttered, shoving a meat bun in his mouth. A vein in her head seemed to appear as she congested her anger. Kindness is always the answer, you need everyone to like you! "Um, I guess you could put it that way! It's not like I HAVE to wear them, it just helps," Claudia smiled, adjusting her ponytail. You will not make me break asshole. Mina tilted her head in confusion. "What do you mean?" Claudia swallowed her bite of food, preparing to explain her circumstances. "My Papá has this saying for quirks that kinda has just stuck with me: For every negative, there's a positive, and vice versa," She began, tucking loose strands of hair from her ponytail behind her ears. "Since my quirk gives me some physical advancements, every advancement has a disadvantage. For example, I have very good vision at night like a cat's, but my overall vision is a little bad. Technically I don't have to wear my glasses, but they help me focus," The girl bubbled. "Papá?" Queried Sero, tilting his head. "Oh, it means dad in Spanish!" Claudia explained, now tightening the bow wrapped around her hair. "It's my first language!" Denki took in the explanation and smiled. "So that's why your Japanese is so clumsy, but it's totally cute; foreign girls are so hot!" "M-my Japanese is clumsy?" Jirou shot her headphone jack into Kaminari's ear, eliciting a yelp from him. "Don't listen to him, you're Japanese is perfect," She reassured, offering a shy smile. "So, is Mrs.All Might the Latina one," Mina wiggled her eyebrows, getting a giggle out of Claudia, shifting the conversation. "Oh, um there is no Mrs, I'm adopted! It's just me and Mr.All Might," She awkwardly stated shooting finger guns. Mina giggled, leaning forward. "Which one of your biological parents give you this beautiful hair? It's so long, I'm jealous!" She smiled fixing a curl. 'Papá no lo puedo hacer. Y-Yo tengo miedo.' (Translation: Dad, I can't do it. I-I'm scared.) 'I TOLD YOU TO STOP CALLING ME THAT. Look,' The man tucked the curl behind her ear as she quivered, clutching her teddy bear. He smiled, giving her ponytail a friendly tug. 'It's a little blood, we've seen blood before, right.? Do it for Daddy, okay? Daddy needs your help.' Claudia swiftly slapped her hand away from her, fear taking over her actions. Bakugou looked up, intrigue drawing him into the sight. As he gazed, Claudia's face seemed to break from character, twitching from the action momentarily. Her face flashed with horror for less than a second before flipping to normal. Mina's face flashed hurt as she rubbed her hand. "I-I'm so sorry! I'm just tired from training last night, I guess I-I'm still on edge," She choked out, rubbing her hand on the back of her head. "I also never met my biological parents either! I was still a baby when I was adopted!" "No worries, but your hair is totally gorgeous though, you'll have to let me braid it one day!" The two shared a smile before Claudia took her focus back to her food. That's not happening. Denki took the explanation in and smiled. "You know, you're pretty awkward Claudia, but it's totally cute! Kirishima shook his head in disapproval, "That was not manly, dude." "BUT I CALLED HER TOTALLY CUTE!"
