The dim light from the single hanging bulb cast eerie shadows across the room. Soohyuk stood in front of Jihoon, his posture tense. Jihoon, dressed in a sleek black suit with an air of authority, exuded confidence. His eyes were sharp, calculating every word and movement.
"Sir, Officer Kwon is currently investigating the drug smuggling case. They have caught a few smugglers who used to deal with us, we're in danger," Soohyuk reported, his voice barely concealing his anxiety.
Jihoon's eyes narrowed, a dangerous glint flashing in them. "Kwon? You mean Kwon Soonyoung? That man with hamster looks? He thinks he can arrest me?" Jihoon chuckled, his voice dripping with irritation and sarcasm. "This little officer thinks he can take us down?"
Soohyuk hesitated for a moment before speaking again. "But Sir, they're doing really well this time. Should we inform Boss?"
Jihoon's expression hardened, his jaw tightening. "No, let's see for some time. Seungcheol hyung is currently dealing with the Amber gang, he's already pretty fucked up. So let's be more cautious and we'll be good, just like the old times, okay?"
Soohyuk seemed convinced, nodding quickly. "Understood, Sir." He bowed deeply and left the room, the tension in his shoulders visibly easing.
Back at Midnight mansion, Jihoon joined Wonwoo in the surveillance room. The room was filled with monitors displaying various feeds from their numerous business fronts and hidden operations.
"How's the situation?" Jihoon asked, leaning over Wonwoo's chair.
Wonwoo glanced up, his fingers never stopping their rapid typing. "We have a few leads on Kwon's investigation. He's getting close, but nothing we can't handle."
Jihoon nodded, his mind already formulating a plan. "Good. Keep an eye on him and his team. We need to stay one step ahead."
Wonwoo smirked, his eyes meeting Jihoon's. "Always, Jihoonie. Always."

Taeyong stood at the front of the room, a large screen behind him displaying images and profiles of the Midnight gang members. The agents of the CBI, handpicked for their expertise and dedication, sat around the table, eyes fixed on their leader.
"Listen up, everyone. We have a new mission," Taeyong began, his voice steady and commanding. "Our target is the Midnight gang. We've been tasked with bringing down Choi Seungcheol and his associates."
The room buzzed with murmurs, agents exchanging determined looks. Taeyong continued, "This won't be easy. They're clever, ruthless, and well-connected. But we have something they don't expect: a fresh perspective and relentless determination. We'll need to be strategic, methodical, and unyielding."
Sungmin stepped forward, holding up a stack of files. "We'll divide into teams. Each team will focus on a specific member of the gang. Gather all the intel you can. Find their weaknesses. We'll coordinate our efforts and strike when they least expect it."
Taeyong looked around the room, meeting each agent's gaze. "This is our chance to make a difference. To take down a powerful criminal organization and restore justice. Let's get to work."
As the teams dispersed, Taeyong felt a surge of determination. The Midnight gang had evaded justice for too long. Now, it was their turn to feel the pressure.
As Taeyong walked down the hallway, his mind was a whirlwind of plans and strategies. The pressure of his new role as head of the CBI department weighed heavily on him. Lost in thought, he was startled by a familiar voice calling out to him.
