A month had passed since that beautiful night on the terrace. Life was going smoothly for everyone in the household. Ishan and Shubman were hopelessly in love, each day more deeply entwined in each other's hearts. For Atharv, his "Maa" was the most beautiful person in the world, and their little family seemed to be settling into a rhythm of happiness and contentment.

But sometimes, life has a way of testing the foundations of our joy. The gods, it seems, delight in giving us trials that challenge our strength and resilience. They present us with puzzles where we become entangled in the threads of fate.

For Ishan, this trial came in the form of a ghost from the past. Never in his wildest dreams did he imagine seeing his sister alive after one and a half years, standing there in their home, as real and tangible as the furniture around them. The shock was palpable. Was she not dead? If she was alive, then who was the girl for whom Shubman had performed the last rites?

The atmosphere was thick with disbelief and confusion. Everyone was shocked, including Shubman, who was rendered speechless by the sight of Sharanya, his first wife and Ishan's sister. Ishan's mind raced with questions. Would Shubman leave him now? Would he go back to Sharanya? Would she take Atharv away from him, the child he had come to love as his own?

"Tum jinda ho?" Shubman’s voice was barely more than a whisper, his eyes locked on Sharanya.

"Haan, Shubman, hum mare nahi the. Hume fasaya gaya tha," Sharanya replied, her voice steady yet tinged with the burden of untold stories.

"Fasaya gaya tha?" Shubman repeated, his brows furrowing in confusion.

"Haan, us doctor ne hume kidnap kar liya tha," Sharanya explained, her eyes meeting Shubman's.

"Toh fir wo kaun thi, jise humne jalaya?" Shubman asked, the weight of the situation pressing down on him.

"Wo koi aur thi, Shubman. Tumne chaddar hata ke dekha tha?" Sharanya countered, her gaze unyielding.

"Nahi," Shubman admitted, his voice a mix of regret and disbelief.

"Toh fir kaise pata chal gaya tumhe ki hum mar gaye hai? Issi ne bataya hoga," Sharanya said, casting a suspicious glance toward Ishan, who looked utterly taken aback.

"Ham... hamne nahi bataya," Ishan stammered, panic rising in his chest. Shubman immediately moved to Ishan's side, wrapping him in a comforting embrace.

"Ham sach keh rahe hain, hamne nahi bataya, hamne nahi bataya," Ishan insisted, tears threatening to spill over as Shubman held him tightly.

"Mujhe pata hai, jaan. Please, mat ro," Shubman murmured softly, pressing a reassuring kiss to Ishan's forehead.

"Shubman, hamara baccha kahan hai?" Sharanya’s voice cut through the room, pulling Shubman back to the present crisis.

Shubman opened his mouth to respond, but before he could, he saw Ishan begin to sway. His eyes rolled back, and his body went limp as he collapsed into Shubman’s arms.

"Ishan! Ishan!" Shubman called out desperately, patting Ishan’s cheeks, trying to rouse him.

All the family members had gathered outside the room, their faces etched with concern. Nandini was in another room with the children, keeping them safe from the unfolding drama.

Shubman paced back and forth, anxiety etched into every line of his face. The doctor was inside, examining Ishan, while the rest of the family tried to calm Shubman down.

"Shubman beta, chinta mat kar. Thik ho jayega Ishan," Dadi reassured him, her voice gentle but firm.

"Kaise na karun, Dadi? Aaj pehli baar aisa hua hai. Pata nahi kya ho gaya Ishan ko," Shubman said, his voice tinged with panic as he continued pacing.

"Pakka kisi ki buri nazar lag gayi hogi," Prakriti suggested, casting a wary glance at Sharanya.

"Shubman, tum uski itni chinta kyun kar rahe ho? Wo thik ho jaayega," Sharanya interjected, her voice laced with a touch of irritation.

"Chinta kyun na karun? Pregnant hai wo," Shubman snapped back, the intensity of his words surprising even himself.

"Haan, toh uske pati ko karne do na. Tum kyun kar rahe ho?" Sharanya pressed, confusion and a hint of challenge in her eyes.

"Wahi hai uska pati," Samarth said, stepping in and stunning Sharanya with the revelation.

"Kya? Tumne dusri shaadi kar li?" Sharanya asked, shock widening her eyes.

"Haan, kar li. Aur shayad bahot acha kam kiya," Shubman replied, the conviction in his words leaving no room for doubt.

Sharanya was about to retort when the door opened, and the doctor emerged, drawing everyone's attention. Shubman rushed forward, bombarding him with questions, a torrent of worry pouring forth.

"Shubman, please shant ho ja beta," the doctor tried to soothe him, but Shubman was far from calm.

"Aise kaise shant ho jaun, Mama? Ishan achanak se behosh ho gaya bina kisi wajah ke. Aur aap bol rahe ho shant ho jaun?" Shubman exclaimed, his frustration boiling over.

"Relax. Ishan abhi thik hai. Aadha ghanta me usse hosh aa jayega. Chinta mat kar," the doctor assured him, placing a comforting hand on Shubman's shoulder.

"Hua kya usse?" Shubman asked, desperation in his voice.

"Mere saath aa, tujhse kuch baat karni hai," the doctor said, leading Shubman away for a private conversation.

The room fell into a tense silence as Shubman followed the doctor, leaving behind a group of anxious faces. The uncertainty loomed large, and with it, the sense that their once-peaceful lives were on the brink of transformation. Would they find their way through this storm, or was this just the beginning of more trials to come?

Outside the room, the family waited with bated breath, each lost in their own thoughts about what the future might hold. And somewhere in the midst of it all, the gods watched, testing the mettle of their love and the strength of their bonds.

As Shubman stepped into the dimly lit hallway with the doctor, he realized that the trials of love often come in the most unexpected forms, challenging not only the heart but also the very essence of trust and faith.

Whatever lay ahead, Shubman knew one thing: his love for Ishan was unyielding, a force that would guide them through whatever trials they might face. But for now, he needed answers, and he was determined to get them.

The test of time had begun.

Mereko story me twist lana tha toh sharanya ko jinda karwa diya 😁😁
