As I look out at the vast expanse of the snowy mountain, fear builds inside me, and I make my way to the edge of the mountain. When I see how high up I am, I move backwards and fall on my butt. I felt so afraid of being alone again that I got overwhelmed and my fear came rushing back. I realised that no matter how badly I want to be who I was, there is something inside that will never disappear.
I get up slowly as an ache spreads through me and some people start making their way onto the top of the mountain alongside me.
Lantana comes towards me with worry on his face, but Magnolia ushers him away as she takes over.
"What happened?" Magnolia asks with concern. "I don't know," I groan, "I got up the mountain fine but I slipped once I got up here. Now, I feel this ache travelling through me." My father makes his way over to me when he sees everyone looking at me with concern. "What is going on?" he asks and I groan. "She's in pain because she slipped up here," Magnolia says politely and my father sighs deeply as Cedric makes his way over. "Duke Cedric," my father whispers seriously, "we need a doctor urgently for Anthurium." Cedric looks at me with concern and nods, "There aren't any doctors up here but there is a tribe that may be able to help." I nod, "Let's go. You and me." My father shakes his head, "No, I will come with." I shake my head, "You need to take care of these people." "Actually," Cedric says kindly, "the tribe is the place we all need to go." I nod, "Okay, let's all go then." "We need to hurry everyone," Cedric announces, "a snowstorm is coming so we need to get to the tribe as quickly as possible."
Radley makes his way over after, finally, making his way onto the mountain and I look at him with pain in my eyes.
"Please carry me," I plead with him, and he nods kindly. "Anything for you," he says kindly and carries me as we make our way through the deep snow that covers the mountain. It's so deep that half his leg is under the snow, but we don't make it to the tribe before the snow starts falling and the wind starts howling with intensity.
"I-if my father didn't hate C-Cedric before, he s-sure does now," I say seriously as my eyes are barely able to stay open. "Stay awake," Radley says seriously, "just keep speaking." "What will Orpheus do if I die?" I ask him and he sighs. "Win," he says quietly but I hear him and laugh. "So, you think I can beat him?" I ask him and he nods. I burst out laughing, "You're the only one that believes that." "Orpheus thinks that too," Radley says seriously, "that's another reason he took you. He knew that if you know anything about him then you are a powerful weapon so he needed something from you because you are just like my mother, his sister, you will do anything to be kind and save those in need even if it kills you, except I hope it doesn't come to that."
After a few more minutes, we arrive at the tribal home and find warm homes that hold groups of people in them.
"Prince Radley," Duke Cedric calls us, "this way. We must go to the leader of the tribe." Radley nods and follows Duke Cedric while the rest of the nobles get set up in the homes of the tribal people.
"Superieure Skadi," Duke Cedric calls as he knocks on the wooden door, "we need a doctor urgently." A woman opens the door with concern, and we start making our way through the door.
"Duke Cedric," Skadi says kindly, "what happened and who is this?" "This is Crown Princess Anthurium and her husband, Prince Radley," Duke Cedric says hurriedly, "and she just seems to have slipped on mountain, but seems to be in extreme pain and..." "She's pregnant," Skadi says seriously, "that's not good. Put her down here." I groan as Radley puts me down on a bed.
"I just have a question," I say with a smile as I groan, "how do all you people know I'm pregnant but these people don't?" She laughs, "Let's check her out but Duke Cedric needs to leave. Prince Radley can stay." Duke Cedric nods and excuses himself, "Just let us know as soon as you know anything. Her father is concerned." She nods and turns to look at me, "So, I don't have any materials like you have, but I can usually feel if anything is wrong by touching you and doing a full examination." I nod, "Okay."
